My mom was in this facility for 2 1/2 yrs. Staff always took long to answer her call lights, we had to call the front desk for someone to check on her. Residents would answer the phone on a few occasions. Certain staff (not all) were rude to my mom. My mom ended up passing here, she was not properly cared for had pressure sores when she passed. I could go on and on, but you get the idea..

Mom was at Delta Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for a couple of months. Overall, the caring was very adequate. What I liked was that the rehab and the care were very close together. They met my mother's needs very well and felt more one on one. The nursing area part was very good. The staff was great, very courteous, and very polite. My mother wasn’t the nicest person and yet they treated her with respect. Mom was very satisfied with the food.

I have a Grandmother that has been at the for one week. I have noticed a few things that have me concerned. First every time I go I noticed that there is a lot of patients in the hall just sitting there by there self for a long period of time. It seems to me that it would be better if they were in the dining area with other patients to talk to rather then alone in the hall. Another thing is a patient was in the hall for about 20 minutes asking for help and no one would come to check on him. My grandmother was in the hall when I showed up asking to go back to her room and the nurse told her she couldn't return and walked off. Come to find out she needed to use the restroom for some time and they just left her in the hall. After I told a nurse she needed to use the restroom it still took about 15 minutes to help her. She is scheduled to stay for 5 weeks so I will post a update as to what I have noticed soon. Hope it gets better. Has anyone else noticed anything similar to what I have?

My mother was a resident for six weeks. She was extremely unhappy there. She was there to recover from hip surgery. They were slow to respond to her call light. Yelled at her many times and told her not to call so much. The nurse assistants were not aware of her needs and physical limitations and hurt her numerous times. I reported this to the director. Next thing I know my mother was punished by placing her in the long term wing in a room with three beds in the middle bed. They ignored her calls. She hated her situation so bad that she became nonresponsive and very sick. She had to be rushed to emergency. They give showers in a large cold room with a hose. I do not recommend this place. My mom is now in a much better facility.

I have a friend whose mother is in Delta Nursing & Rehabilitation, and they do accept Medical. It was very clean and fab. All the people were attentive and cared for well. There was no odor or anything; everything was immaculate. The food was good, the rooms are very small -- it’s the only problem -- and there are 2 or 3 to a room. The facility is very small, but it only has I think about 48 beds or so. I think for the amount of people that they have, that’s adequate. They have the games and they get them all out to socialize if they will come, and they have TVs in the room. Most of the people basically watch TV, but their TVs are up high on a shelf, and they should have them down -- the ones that you can pull down right over the bed almost like right in your face.
