I toured the memory care area of Willow Point as a potential residential option for my mom. The facility seemed clean and residents seemed pretty happy but I was surprised to see dementia/alzheimers residents sharing rooms. When I asked about safety concerns tied to potential verbal and physical altercations which can happen with alzheimers patients, the staff member cavalierly said "they don't remember it the next day anyhow". I was floored by the lack of professionalism and respect for these residents. Also, this same staff member rolled her eyes and made a joke about a resident for having her hand in her pants waistband. I do not believe, based on what I saw that this facility would provide the level of compassion or safety, I would want for my parent or for anyone suffering from dementia.

Was a patient there twice this year for short term rehab. The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. My room was clean and well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again. Staff was constantly asking if there was something that they could help me with. I was treated in a dignified manner and my privacy was respected. There was a library available as well as daily word puzzle sheets. A list of available activities was posted in my room. PT and OT staff provided daily therapy. There were alternative meals available if I didn't like what was offered on the main menu. The dietician visited me to ensure that my meal requirements would be meant.

I was sent here in 2014 when I needed rehab after knee surgery. I am 5 ft 10 inches and my feet hung over the bed. They were clueless. I got bacterial pneumonia there. Now my friend who went there to recover from a stroke contracted Covid there along with 11 other patients. They have not been able to get her a phone for 3 days. I have contacted the administrator and supervisors to get this fixed. It is Christmas Eve and she cannot have visitors and still does not have a phone. She is very upset. This is detrimental to her health and welfare. Do not send someone you love to this facility. Very poor management.

Willow Point Nursing Home has been very good. My dad is very happy there. The place is really clean and there's no smell. They have varying activities like bingo and holiday activities. They have an activities coordinator. My dad has a private room and the facility seems to be very clean. The staff has been extremely helpful. From what I saw, the place is definitely above average, and they have helped me a lot. They have institutional food though.

On November 02, 2016 my wife went to Willow Point nursing home because she had a disk problem in her neck and going down her right leg. She had to be in a wheelchair, and with my problem that I have she could not stay at home. She was very good up to February 21th and the doctor gave her anti depression pill. Right after the pill everything went downhill. She could not eat or drink and on March 05. I call up the nursing station and ask how she was doing, and the nurse said the same as yesterday. I made her call up the ambulance and send her to Wilson Hospital they could not do anything for her. So they send her back to the nursing home and in three day she died. I have to say all the aid’s, LPN, and the RN and the social worker help my wife. They told the doctor not to give her the pill, but he did anyway. I did not know I could stop it, because he has to call me before they give any pills to her. I did not know that because no one told me about that. You got to watch the doctors very close at they work there. I have to say this if the doctor know what he was doing my wife will be living now he would not give her that pill.

Our relative is in Willow Point Nursing Home. They are great. They handle her situation fine. There are two people in a room with a curtain in between. They have sing-alongs, bingo, and trivia. The dining area is cafeteria-style.

The staff at Willow Point is very caring and supportive of its residents. There is a range of activities to participate in, and friends and family are encouraged to participate in the care of their loved ones. The staff also knew all of the residents on the floor by name, as well as many of the idiosyncrasies of the residents. They also took time out to arrange activities among residents who were not frequently visited by friends and/or family. They also allowed the community members to volunteer and provide nutritional education for the residents. During my visit on average the patients and the faculty members did a great job at communicating and also the conveyed a sense of quality service throughout the time I spent inside this facility. Again, many of the staff and community members made the overall experience enjoyable and life learning. To conclude, my experience led to one that was helpful and supportive throughout the entire process of my visit.

The staff at Willow Point are very compassionate and caring. Many of them always have smiles on their faces which in turn makes the residents smile. The staff like to joke around with the residents to make the days happier. They go the extra mile to make it more homier with added touches. The activities coordinators plan many activities which make the residents smile. These activities involve community members to help. The facility is nice. They have been trying to improve the meals by serving the food more like a restaurant. Willow Point is a nice facility. I would highly recommend this nursing home.
