I am/was a resident of this facility

If you are considering this facility, you can count on hallways and guest rooms to be cleaned. Thoroughly. This dept takes pride in their work. The Activities Dept offers fun and innovative events. They have a resident council to get feed back from the guests.

I visited this facility

There’s one staff member there, I actually don’t know her exact job title, but she is incredible. Tami. So knowledgeable, so helpful. Took time to briefly explain the facility and everything offered. We were just visiting to see the place before my mother is placed somewhere. I am so glad that Tami was in the lobby when I came in. Perfect person to run into. I could also tell that residents and staff alike all knew and liked her. They all said hi as they walked by and Tami took the time to actually bend down and have a conversation with a resident in a wheel chair. I obviously don’t like the idea of my mother having to go to assisted living but this one feels great. I hope the rest of the staff are as personable and welcoming as Tami.

Awful. Dirty. Terrible Communication. Terrible Food Crowded room Arrangement They put my dad who was ambulatory prior to coming there in a diaper as soon as he arrived and did not encourage him to call for assistance walking to the bathroom. They brought him dinners that required cutting (pork chops) but only a fork to eat with. The food looked and tasted disgusting. The floors and walls are dirty. The social worker and business office did not communicate at all regarding goals, diagnosis, care plan…. The only time we heard from them was when they were discharging my father and wanted to know our plan for getting him out of their facility.

I visited this facility

I visited an elderly friend at this facility today. She told me how she had to insist on therapy rather than it being scheduled for her. She has been served meals on 3 occasions which contained foods to which she is seriously allergic. I am not impressed with this facility!

The experience of moving my mother into this facility has been a significant blessing. Caring staff so easy to communicate with. Patient care excellent.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was there for 4 weeks sent for short term rehab in a sub acute setting. They advertised professional nursing which my mom needed. After 4 weeks of PT once a day for no more than 45 min my mom was admitted to the hospital for fluid retention. They were suppose to be monitoring that but obviously dropped the ball since my mom was full of fluid upon admittance to hospital. Handful of staff was good the rest were rude abrupt and didn’t care for my mom properly. She was left on bed pans for 35 min at a time and the night she was taken out at 1 a.m. yelled for help repeatedly before someone came to help her. Would never recommend this place for anyone. My mom would not be in hospital starting all over again if the doctors and nurses there knew what they were doing. After 4 Weeks she still was not able to stand alone due to lack of PT and OT

I am a relative of a recent occupant of this facility. My loved one was transferred from a local hospital after suffering from a urinary tract infection. Due to her age, it was quite serious and took her down fast. Luckily, with fluids and antibiotics at the hospital she began to bounce back and within 3 days of her arrival at the hospital, we were informed that she was being released to a rehabilitation facility for 2 weeks of physical therapy to strengthen her legs. We were given a list to choose from. We chose Genesis Multicare from word of mouth, friends in the nursing business, and due to proximity of relatives for visiting. Let me also say it was our 2nd choice, the 1st was filled and not taking patients. This rehabilitation my loved one was sent there for never occurred and due to her age, it is my opinion, she was written off and left to die in her bed. She wore hearing aids which were never in place, so she could not hear. The staff said it kept falling out so they put them in a drawer. She was a lady from a different era. She was taught not to complain. To be pleasant. Always look your best. I can only imagine the fear my loved one, or any elderly person, feels being in a place like that. Knowing their time is limited, being confused about what is happening to them, why they can't go home and if they will ever go home. Being in this unfamiliar place, essentially, all alone. The humiliation they feel having to urinate and defecate in their pants. Having strangers strip them naked and change their diaper. All the staff needed to do was ask if she had to use the bathroom. She just needed assistance. She needed compassion, encouragement, a little help. It is a shame that the families that entrust their loved ones to you have no idea how neglected they are when you are not sitting there. You should be ashamed of yourselves. She stayed in that bed for 10 days and dehydrated all over again, stopped eating, and gave up. Our daily visits left us disheartened, discouraged, and completely lost. Why wouldn't anyone help her? We trusted you. Obviously, when we were told we needed to look at hospice facilities, we were floored! My loved one did not come into this facility in the condition in which she left it 10 days later. Yes, we did managed to get thru all the red tape and were able to get her home. She wanted to die in the home she raised her children in and which she still lived in up until this nightmare began 2 weeks ago. She passed away 12 hours after she arrived home, under her own roof. Genesis, you need to do better. This is unacceptable. Sincerely, A Grieving Family

I visited this facility

I visited a friend who was here 2 or 3 times. The environment seemed chaotic. Staff appeared absorbed in paperwork and computer work at the expense of attentiveness to residents. My friend said the food was terrible. Cleanliness was fair, but I think it should be much better. One of the activities staff was playing some type of word game with some of the residents in a general purpose room. She was incorrectly pronouncing words, and didn't know the meaning of some words herself. The facility did not have a warm, homelike feel to it. It felt very institutional. I basically did not like it.

My mother-in-law has been in Multi-Medical Center. It's an average to good nursing care center. They provided adequate care. They gave her rehabilitative care correctly. They were clean. They kept their staff, and there were people there day and night.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The general facility was very clean. It was well-kept and had a welcoming atmosphere. It looked a little run-down from the outside, but the inside was very nice. My grandmother was a resident here, and I often visited her in her room at least once a week. My grandmother was practically bed-bound so she required a lot of attention from the staff. All of the nurses that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. They were available to answer any question that my family and I had and generally seemed like they had an interest in my grandmother. The techs that I encountered at this facility seemed to be less enthusiastic about their patients. It did not look as if all of the patients were given proper personal hygiene daily and, honestly, it looked like some patients have been neglected. My grandmother ended up developing a horrible Stage 2 pressure ulcer to her sacral area from not being turned properly in this facility. We ended up taking her out of this establishment and transferring to her a different one because my family did not feel that my grandmother was getting the attention that she needed.
