We selected Park Manor for my rehab after a hospital stay of two weeks because it was the closest rehab facility to our home in Cypress. My expectation was that my medical care would be the primary concern of the staff at Park Manor Tomball which meant getting the correct medications and nutrition in a clean and safe facility with competent and professional staff. The lobby was very nice and I was initially impressed however the vertical blinds in my room had a number of broken slats and the drawer on the nightstand was coming apart and unusable although it was repaired the next day. Unfortunately, the Park Manor Tomball facility fell far short of providing a level of care that they claim to deliver and is required in my opinion. The “call” button does not confirm that a call has been initiated nor is there an intercom system where it is possible to provide information about the nature of the call. An intercom system should be available in any facility such as this and would both reduce the workload of the staff as well as reassure patients. Over the three days I was in the care of Park Manor Tomball, I was given the incorrect dosage of a muscle relaxant a number of times before I realized what was happening as well as multiple doses of my blood pressure meds on three occasions. When I attempted to tell the staff of these errors, they initially refused to believe what I was saying and when my protestations were proven correct, they were not apologetic. Not once during my stay did anyone come into my room to clean and often the staff did not monitor my medical condition as they were supposed to do. A few of the staff had a good attitude and were solicitous but many were surly and clearly unhappy with their jobs. Those individuals often refused to give me their names and were very discourteous and disrespectful. The second night I was there and following frustrating exchanges with a number of staff, I was called by the supervisor of nursing who admonished me because I was interrupting him while dining out with his family. As I had heard a number of times since my arrival, he too reminded me that Park Manor was “not a hospital” although he never detailed exactly how that fact justified the very poor level of medical care that I was experiencing. Despite my admissions documents stating that only our son should be contacted if necessary, one staff person called my 80 year old wife the second evening to complain that I was being too demanding and not “nice” to their employees, causing her unnecessary stress and anxiety. The quality of the food at Park Manor Tomball certainly did not begin to be comparable to that of the Memorial Hermann hospital in Cypress where I had been for two weeks but that was not a major concern for me. After putting up with the errors made with my meds, the churlish behavior of a number of the staff and other totally unacceptable conditions and not having any sense things would improve, I made the decision to check myself out AMA (Against Medical Advice) after a few hours short of being there for three days. No one, no matter their medical condition, should have to endure conditions similar to what I experienced at Park Manor Tomball. I do not recommend the facility for anyone.

rooms and equipment was dirty and antiquated Staff was lacking in manners, very rude and very unless. When I asked for some assistance they might come within an hour or two. Could not reach the phone or call button activities rating as little to non. The amenities that Park Manor offers is if you want to never get well that that is the place to go . DO NOT waste you time, money and love one by becoming a patient at Park Manor. My stay was short but the time I was there was very scarry and I told my kids to come get me. I said I did not want to die there which if left long term I was not going to get any better. I am reporting them to DADS> \

My dad was at Park Manor of Tomball. He was there for a week. It was not very good. Their nurse was not very communicative with us. He had a little attitude, so we didn't like that. Their food was not very good either. I had eaten there; I had to try my dad's food. He didn't like the food either. We had to get him out of there because his insurance didn't want to pay anymore. It was finished, so that's why we had to get him out or he's going to have to pay out of pocket. They had no chance to get him out of the bed. When he left there, he couldn't walk, so they left him in bed. They didn't do anything.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. My husband was to stay with them for short term respite care. The room for my husband was filthy!! There was fecal matter on the floor and wall right next to the bed. The bathroom was filthy and reeked of urine. The drawers were dirty. Several slats of the blinds in the room were missing. The chair next to the bed was filthy and stained. The aide that came in looked as though she hadn’t bathed in some time. She kept handing my husband the tv remote and the call button. He has later stage Alzheimer’s. I explained to her repeatedly that he wouldn’t be able to use either one. The LVN came in the room. Her clothes were torn and stained. She also wasn’t wearing a mask, yet they required us to wear one and the aide had on a face shield. I put the few items of my husband’s that I had out back in his suitcase and we informed them that we were leaving.

My mom was in rehab at Park Manor of Tomball. It was very mediocre due to the COVID situation. They were restricting patients to the back of the facility, which was very rundown, not kept, and not clean. There were a lot of issues. The nursing staff wasn't attentive. The therapy staff worked fairly well with my mom. The cleaning staff was definitely not attentive. The equipment was horrible. The mattress was probably as old as I am, and I had to make accommodations for my mom. I brought outside things in like padding, sheets, pillowcases, and things like that, because things weren't getting changed and cleaned and so on and so forth. My mom wasn't satisfied with the food. They weren't doing any group activities because of the COVID restrictions and the 14-day lockdown on that unit for anybody newly admitted there. They did accommodate my mom with a word search book, and I think a couple of those actually in order to be able to have something to do outside of her therapy and the TV that she had in her room.

My aunt was well taken care of when she was a Park Manor. She received great care and as a Healthcare provider myself I was confident in the staff. Will definitely recommend if services are needed in the future. Thank you to all the staff for everything that you do. ❤️

So the thing that I can say is that they are not the newest facility in town but they do provide good quality of care. My mother was there about eight months ago because of a broken hip. The therapy was very good and she was able to discharge and go home so I am very grateful for them

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nurses did a great job communicating updates and the therapists do an amazing job working with patients. Would highly recommend!

Would give zero stars if possible. My mother-in-law was here for 18 days and I have one word to describe her care - Neglected! Please do not put your loved ones here. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy here. Unfortunately, she was here during a pandemic and as such I could overlook some things but not getting bathed for 7 days is not one of them! Medication incorrect is another.

My mom called me today they are on a lock down because of corona virus. She was crying because she’s had diarrhea and went in her diaper she Asked doctors and staff to change her. Everyone says they’ll come back she been left dirty for 7 hours. She’s supposed to have catheter replaced once a month on the 15th and it’s 2 weeks overdue. Never see anyone cleaning the room or restroom. Filling up soap at hand sink in restroom. All of my moms clothes have came up missing. Never found. Had to replace all of them. She hardly ever gets what she orders at meal time. And meals look terrible. Worried with the lock down the residence aren’t being taken care of.

My mother was here a year ago and we had a terrible experience. While the staff seems caring the food was terrible. They lost every piece of her clothing and I only was able to recover one piece after many phone calls. A year later my Dad was sent to Park Manor. I was assured that things were better now. They were no better. He was served food that i could not even identify. They only lost one piece of his clothing (1 week) which i have never recovered. No washing machines to use and i live in another city so had to let them do laundry. He has lived in assisted living for two years and they have never lost a piece of his clothing. Park Manor has a caring staff but they need major improvement in food and laundry.

Park Manor should be taken off the list with Texan Plus insurance. Park Manor only talks to you when they want money or you to receive services from them. My Mom was in rehab and okay ed to return to her place of residency. They would not release her. She was in rehab and doing well there, they decided to move her trying to keep her long term. They refused to release her and moved her to the nursing home wing. Claimed she had a infection and was going to be on antibiotics. After less than a week in the nursing home wing she ended up in the hospital dead, revived long enough to let me get there. Had never received antibiotics but tamiflu without my approval or knowledge. Even had new clothes signed end and they won't give them back to me. I never wanted to send her here but insurance co. gave me no option. Please do not let them do the same to your loved one.

My mother was on the skilled side of the facility after a fall. I was there daily visiting my mother. I found the nurses, aides, and even housekeeping very nice and friendly to work with. Since I was in the medical industry, I was leary with the ratings but I must say I was very pleased and satisfied! Everyone was very caring and wanted my mother to be comfortable! Even the administrator was walking around making sure any issue or concern was addressed.

My husband was in this facility and I felt I had to stay with him every waking minute as they were so short-staffed. The one day I notified them I wouldn't be there until noon, I got a call, around 11, that he had fallen from his wheelchair. He was taken to the hospital with a broken hip (three days from coming home and walking with a walker). He did come home after his hospital stay, with hospice care, only to pass away 3 mos later! His death certificate reads he died from a fall at nursing home.

Our family member has been here on three separate occassions within the past year. None of them were acceptable for us, but this is the only place her supplemental insurance would pay for in the Tomball area. Be prepared to have your belongings stolen. Also, be aware they like to keep the resident in a bed or wheelchair so that you are "easy" to care for. All assistance moves at a snails pace. You had better stay on top of what they are supposed to do and make sure they do it. Thearapy (PT and OT) is minimal, at best spending just a few minutes per visit and doing much less than the resident is capable of..

My father in law has been here for just over a week on a physical rehab basis after heart surgery and we are not happy. They are understaffed and it takes them hours to respond to any of his needs. The social worker assigned to him at Park Manor was supposed to make him an ENT appointment and 4 days later she hasn't and it's not even in his file that he needs an ENT appointment still. He is on a feeding tube and needs to see the ENT to work towards getting off the feeding tube before he leaves this facility. The world stops here on the weekend as they are even more understaffed on the weekends. The rooms are small and shared and offer little privacy. My father in law is miserable here and we want him out as soon as he is physically able which could be a while based on how slow they do things. Look elsewhere for care.

After my sister who has cancer had been in a previous rehab twice that was inadequate at best we were really gunshy when trying to find one where she would be willing to go. From the first day she arrived we have been continuously delighted and comforted by how well they take care of their residents. Each and every staff person is pleasant and always respectful no matter what! Even when my sister gets cranky they always treat her well. They are kind gentle and caring. You never see staff members standing idle. They all work very hard to provide consistently superior care. The rehab side had marvelous people that are persistent and motivating. The LPNs RNs and CNAs are wonderful and always treat my sister with patience and great respect. Everyone, from the business office to the activities director to the people who maintain the rooms seemed to be hand picked from the best. I am so grateful that my sister is in such good hands. Park Manor is truly a Godsend!

On March 24th Park Manor Tomball had a Crawfish Boil to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Even though this was a fundraiser Park Manor staff made sure that all the residents who wanted crawfish, hotdogs, soft drinks, or just wanted to sit outside and enjoy the music and the beautiful weather was able to do so. Some staff sat and peeled the crawfish for the resident, some staff paid out of their own pockets to ensure residents could enjoy the food and some staff got residents outside to enjoy the live music. This was just priceless to see the residents faces!

My sister has been at Park Manor since 2008. Because of her being handicapped at birth she has been in long term care since she was 17. Due to the health and death of my mother I moved my sister from Louisiana to Texas to take over her care. By far Park Manor has been and still is the best facility I have seen. The staff take the time to learn how to communicate with my sister. The housekeeping to the administrator takes the time to visit with her and let her know that she is important and her ideas and concerns are addressed. They are truly a blessing to my sister and my family!

My friend RM admitted to Park Manor Tomball from Tomball Regional Hospital, for physical therapy and wound care. Without going into detail, we were unsure if she'd be able to return home. RM was assigned to a semi-private room, with another woman, BB. The room was spacious and clean! She became very close with her roommate BB, it was a blessing in disguise as they were each other’s greatest support. She did therapy three hours a day for three weeks, her strength and confidence was remarkable. Everyone was so encouraging and helpful. After she met her needs in therapy, Park Manor Tomball assisted in helping her access her Medicaid benefits. Today, RM is a full time resident. Although on a different hall, she still shares a room with BB. Their room is decorated with photos and family heirlooms, it’s so homey! Thank you Park Manor Tomball – you brought my sweet friend strength and a lifelong best friend. I’d highly recommend Park Manor Tomball for anyone needing therapy, iv’s, wound care or long-term care!

My mother has been at Park Manor for two weeks now. The environment is clean, neat, and it looks comfortable. From going over there, it is a nice place, but I've never really talked to too many people that work there. My mother is in a semi-room. It is nice, and it has everything she needs.

Right now he is in Park Manor, and they have been pretty good. He is in like a two-bedroom, but they each have their own section, there is one bathroom, and it looks like a real hospital room. The only problem I have been having with them is we brought a bunch of his clothes when he went in, they are supposed to do his laundry after a week's stay, and we never got any of those back. So far, he says that they have been pretty good to him. It is just the other staff -- and some of the other little things going on in there -- that I am not happy with. He is very clean, and he is fed, so it is nothing like that, but more of the laundry. They took a whole bunch of his clothes, and we didn't get any of them back.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER ENTERED MY MOTHER WAS SENT THERE BY TOMBALL HOSPITAL FOR REHAB FOR HER WALKING ABILITY DUE TO AN ACCIDENT SO MANY PROBLEMS FOOD WAS COLD THERE WAS LARGE CLUMPS OF BACTERIA IN THE AC VENT THE DRAWERS HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED OUT FROM THE LAST PERSON AND VERY UNCLEAN SHE HAD TROUBLE GETTING HER MEDS AND HER LEFT FOOT WAS THE SIZE OF A GRAPEFRUIT AND PURPLE AND NO DOCTOR TO ADDRESS THIS I PULLED HER OUT AFTER 5 DAYS SHE ONLY HAD 1 SHOWER IN THAT TIME
