I've been in Alaska Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center for eight months now. I got another person in the room with me. I'm in what they consider the long-term area. I'm here past the time they expected me to be here, I was supposed to be moving on. They've got a whole lot of people that work with exercise and manipulation to help you walk again. They teach them how to use oversize eating equipment so that they can get started using their hands. They do quite a good job. The staff is anywhere from beginners up to the top, there are people in here that have been with the company eight, ten years, maybe longer. Some are beginners, or in the middle, and they all work to teach each other. They learned from each other. There's always a master, it's a craft, one of the ones who's very knowledgeable. There's always at least one, if not more, on duty at any one time, and they run from six in the morning till two in the afternoon, and then from two until ten at night, and then another crew goes on from ten until six the next morning. So they are in a three-shift building. They have Medicare. They have another section and my long-term care. There's a large dining room, otherwise, they have carts, they bring the food to the rooms. Right now we're working with this virus, so they load up the carts and bring the carts up to be delivered to each room. And that's breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This care facility has something to hide. Do not trust your loved one to stay there or be admitted there. My father was admitted there, transferred from Tacoma General so that he could recover. We were told that no one in our family could stay over night with to take care of his needs. Even though we had stated that he had limited english speaking abilities. We forced the issue and our brother was allowed for one night to stay. Then when we came in the next day and my fathers room mate was laying in his own fesis for 20 minutes. So we removed our father and then we were told we could not take our father out on a wheelchair even thought he could not stand on his leg. What kind of place would allow someone to lay in their own crap for long periods of time. Would you wnat to leave your love one's in their care?!
