I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The room are nice, but I have a issue with the staff. They don't do their job the staff has a friend of the family that does everything for the patient, like transfers the patient from the bed to the bathroom. They do not watch the patient take their medication. The staff brings it in the room and walks out then others take the medication. The staff says the person is in sound mind when they do not know what and why there in there and the patient knows very little about the past and present.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I recently had a love one here and I do understand the staffing shortage and some of the concerns when bringing a love one to such as place. But I can say copper ridge may not be perfect But it sure does Beat some of the other places I've heard about. They make every effort to give resident centered care. I would recommend them to another family simply because they do and are trying to give their BEST.

We had placed Dad there when we couldn't care for him on our own any longer. He didn't know us any longer, and would wander off when staying with us down in FL. He was there for about a year. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Dad spoke of the "Cookouts" they had. The movies in the living areas. He loved the food there too. Dad was a WWII veteran, and they made every effort to accommodate him and help him live with the honor and dignity he deserved. He was limited in his mobility, but was interactive with others in his house. The staff loved him. He, in turn, loved them. When he passed, the staff were so very compassionate and loving. I would recommend this place.

They have patients laying in a wet/dirty diaper for hours,. Just not acceptable. You need to change patients when needed. Laying for hours in a dirty diaper is just plain wrong!!

NEVER!!! Send anyone here!!! Ever!!!!! My loved one was in here and they left them non responsive for 2 days!! Before another family member requested they be sent out 911. They died at the hospital! The doctors could not believe a facility and healthcare employees would allow this to happen. Family made numerous calls and none were returned; asked the staff to send out and never did!!! Please run from this place!!!

Copper Ridge is no longer the facility it once was. Do not send someone you love here. In the 4 days my father was at Copper Ridge phone calls went unanswered, talking to medical personnel or administrators was impossible and we never did speak with a doctor. He was rushed to the hospital and found to be severely dehydrated and running a high fever. They are just not staffed appropriately at this time to give adequate care much less quality care

My husband was in Copper Ridge for rehab. The first time he went there I found that incredibly good, I was very, very impressed. After he left he had nothing but good things to say about them, except the food wasn't always great. He was very well cared for, his meds were on time, he had PT five days a week, the staff was very good with him, very professional, but also very friendly and took time to get to know him. The place was very clean, there was no odor, there was no smell of urine or disinfectants covering up urine. It has nice surroundings, you can visit outside, there's fences, it's well landscaped, very well kept outside, lots of parking for visitors. They also have a cafe in the lobby that was open at least six days a week, until 7:00 p.m. They had several chefs, you as a neighbor in the community could come in there and have your lunch as well, so the patients could have their lunch there, or they could meet their families there and visit in the big lobby. It was very congenial. They also had support groups for family members as well.

I visited this facility

We're in the process of moving my dad in to Copper Ridge. Everything is very nice and seems to be a caring place. I think my dad will do well there. It looked like it was orderly and they had a lot of stuff to do. They had a physician on staff which was nice. They have art, pets, all sorts of stuff. The staff was very nice and the intake coordinator whom I had been in contact with periodically has been very nice and professional. The rooms are nice, large and private.

We chose Copper Ridge because the care is superior compared to others and they take Medicaid. We know that if all of the money is gone, they won't turn us onto the streets like some of the other places. They have a bistro, which is very nice and inviting. It's a little bit dated and needs some updating. The staff seems to care for the residents. They have music and are doing more than some of the other places we've looked at. The main thing is memory care, it's kind of sad because you have these people with dementia and Alzheimer's sprinkled in with the younger people and my mom doesn't like it. We like that they're very responsive like when we told them that we're not comfortable with the area where my mom's room is at, so they will be moving her to another room next week. The food is institutional as expected, they're not using a lot of spices because they're watching the sodium levels of their elderly residents. The try to do more and have physical therapy when it's needed. It costs much more than we thought, but for the value, it's still good.

I visited this facility

Copper Ridge was what we wanted for my mother-in-law, but it is extremely expensive. They won't even take her because you have to have at least $300,000 in the bank before they accept you. On top of it all, they also charge you for laundry. They charge you for every little thing, but it's a gorgeous, beautiful place and the people were very kind. The food smelled wonderful, and they make beautiful gourmet meals. It's a wonderful place if you are rich.

I visited this facility

This Alzheimer/dementia facility has just what we need for our aunt, who is slipping into the moderate stage of Alzheimer's. They offer an evaluation stay to help determine the needs of each resident. They also review daily the progress and/or changes going on with each resident. The facility was clean, bright and welcoming, and we plan to move our aunt there, when the time comes. We highly recommend Copper Ridge.
