I am/was a resident of this facility
I wish I could give a negative. Only allowes a 1. I had to go in for rehabilitation NB for to a broken ankle and fibula. I was there 6 week's and was only allowed 3 showers. The shower chaires are taped together. The beds are very old and don't work right. The mattresses I would not even let my fogs lay on, and the food is do bad you couldn't eat it. I had food from home brought in and had stuff for breakfast and fruit for lunch. If my family had not brought me that stuff I would have been screwed. The do not provide fruit at all. The second shift was the best at least they awnsered the patients. Burnidette my physical therapist was horrable and should never be allowed to work with people.

I would give this facility 0 stars if that were possible. The first day my father entered the facility, he was denied the prescribed pain meds, which were prescribed every four hours, for over 9 hours. I had to call and then was greeted with a defensive attitude by the nurse. The next day, the administrator apologized and we decided to not move him, as was my intention. The administrator reported she had filed a grievance on the evenings events. Today, after him being there for two weeks, we went to pick him up. I had not been there in two days, and when I walked in, I could tell his condition had deteriorated GREATLY. He was very ill.. He was coughing, and I could hear he was very raspy, and it appeared he was having a hard time breathing. I had to request someone to come listen to his lungs with a stethoscope. My father reported he had asked to speak to the doctor many times due to the way he was feeling. The nurse stated he believed he could hear some fluid in his lungs. At that point, a call was placed to the doctor's office, who stated my dad "could stay a few more days because of his condition." Ummm, NO. We took him immediately to the Emergency Room only to be told he was severely dehydrated and had Type A flu. This could have only been acquired there. The hand hygiene of this facility is sorely lacking. The CNAs hide in the cubby by my father's room and play on their phones ALL the time. If you love your family member, as I do my Dad, LOOK ELSEWHERE! A formal complaint is being filed with the State of Arkansas due to this situation. I only home my dad is strong enough to recover from this. Shame on the people at the Maples for being more concerned about money than the people in their care!!!!!

I visited this facility
The Maples was very clean, and the people seemed to be happy with what they're doing. The room seemed like the others we've seen. We know people who had relatives there, and I feel a little more comfortable about it. The administrator was very nice and told us what to expect in the way of care. She was very friendly and answered our questions. I noticed people sitting around and playing games and cards in a room. They were also watching television in a large area. It was a friendly place.

The Maples is close by, it has a good reputation, and we have used it in the past on a short-term rehabilitation basis. Right now, both my parents are there and will probably remain there from now on. The paperwork process is not doing as I hoped and expected. I guess I am looking for more doctors and doctor interaction. The staff that attends to them is fine. The people in the office are less than what I hoped for and I am not sure if the professional staff is interactive, that's what I would like to see. The rooms are clean and adequate, but they could be bigger. They both have wheelchairs and that takes a lot of space.
