I visited this facility and spent about a week meeting the staff and visiting with residents. The nursing assistants (who provide care directly to the residents) are all very hard working, and they seem to have a personal attachment to many of their residents. They meet daily to discuss changes in each resident's condition, so they are all aware of any new needs or concerns. The residents seemed to especially enjoy mealtimes when they were almost all able to sit together (and the food looked appealing).

Nursing Homes
Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities or convalescent homes, serve anyone who requires preventive, therapeutic and/or rehabilitative nursing care. Nursing homes provide residential care for people who don't require hospitalization but need 24-hour care they can't get at home. Some nursing homes are set up like a hospital with staff members providing medical care. Nursing homes also provide a wide range of other services.
