I visited this facility

I toured Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights. What I liked most was that its location was central. They had a great sunroom. They offered a shuttle service to your doctor or having the doctor come in. They had excursions, shopping, and visits to various places. They had an activities room and they had an onsite exercise room. There was a beauty salon there, and there was an outdoor area for people to do a little gardening. The facility was just a little dark, it needed more light.

Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights was very good. One of the things I was looking at is pets, since my sister has a cat, and they would be able to accommodate that. She likes to smoke and they have a small section for that. They have three meals a day and housekeeping each week. I saw that many of the apartments there had a larger refrigerator, and that's a good thing. The cost there for the studio seemed to be more than I was looking for. It's very well maintained. I liked the layout of the place very much.

I visited this facility

I went on a tour of Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights. Everything was very nice and clean, though the price is a little higher than I was banking on. And then they didn't have memory care. They had a larger room than the other place I toured. It had its own sleeping, sitting, and bath areas, and all the rooms were identified by their name. They gave me a list of their activities, they did not have anything that they were doing at the moment because it was the evening when I went there. They had a library, which is what I saw immediately when I walked in.

I was able to tour Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights. They were very nice. It was a very nice and very welcoming environment. It was clean. Everything appeared in order, so that was good. They have a rehab area and a nice gathering area where they were making flowers, so that's very nice. The staff I met were very nice and friendly. The facilities were very good.

Provider Response

Thank you for the five stars! We are glad you enjoyed your visit!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife was in Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights. We're quite pleased with them, the funding was made by Medicare, and after three weeks, she improved enough to go home. We were pleased with their care. It seems to be well-staffed, and the staff seems to know what they're doing. They keep the place clean, and the physical facilities are nice. She's in a 2-bed unit, fortunately, when we were there, there was no roommate, so that made it nicer. The room has a TV, and three meals a day are included. I visited my wife every day, and lots of times, they gave me food. It was good. It's maintained in a good, clean condition, and it's a very nice physical facility, with areas to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. There's a Methodist church next door, and they have programs to bring preschool, or young kids in to sing. It seemed like a very effective way of entertaining people there in Juniper.

I got to tour the Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights. It was an open area with enough room. They had the designated memory care on one side and assisted living kind of blended together. There were some courtyards, the place was clean, and the people were friendly. The administration was nice and informative. The room I saw was clean, it has fresh paint and the carpet seems to be in good shape. They provide activities for the residents throughout the day.

Provider Response

Thank you for your review, Ruth. We appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience! If there's anything we can do to earn a five-star rating, please let us know. We are always trying to improve!

Juniper Village at Lincoln Heights was very fresh and open. It smelled clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something. They greeted me and answered all my questions. The dining area looked spacious, but not overly, and not crowded or real busy. It looked just right.

The second option that we considered was here. It was just too busy and too big. The room looked adequate, but it was such a large community and too impersonal.

It was nice and clean. The staff was pleasant, and it was very centrally located being close to downtown, grocery store, and restaurants, but it was a little bit more expensive than the other ones we visited. The person who assisted us was very nice and informative.

It was very nice. The food was delicious. The lady that waited on us was actually the head cook and was delightful to talk to. The room of the gentleman I had lunch with was very nice. It had a really nice balcony that overlooked a courtyard. There were single units and double units. The food was very good and had two main courses and two types of salad. They brought all of the food to you freshly prepared. We went into this big, private eating room just reserved for us. The rest of the people were being served in a big dining area. I was very excited about it.

My mother stayed here. I was very pleased with the care that she received and the staff. Being a larger community, they had assisted living for the regular residents and skilled nursing or a nursing home section, and, of course, there were more activities. They actually had two activities directors. The amenities there were a lot different from what you would find in a home because they had more residents and more money to spend. They had activities like scenic drives and parties. They had church service on Sundays. Groups came in and performed during holidays. They would play games. It was a totally different environment. The residents in the assisted living do a lot more for themselves, which my mother could do in the beginning. It was a good place. They had trips to the stores, Wednesday lunch dates, and sometimes they went to movies. I was very pleased with it.

We actually tried respite care and that was a nightmare for us. They are not abusive, but it just wasn’t a good fit for him. He was able to walk out the facility a couple of times. He was agitated there. It was just too hectic for him. It wasn’t really a memory care, but a nursing care place. So he really wasn’t in the right type of facility and that was the big part of it. The room itself looked more like a hospital room with the curtain pulls between them. We were just looking for a short term respite care and so they placed him in the nursing part and they have people with several different kinds of problems, so it wasn’t at all for Alzheimer's. It would be a fine place for somebody else, but not for my dad.

The lady that gave us a tour was lovely. The facility seemed fine. The dining hours and food all seemed very nice and the dining room seemed lovely. The little apartments were lovely and seemed very nice. They had daily activities. I would recommend them to others

We got a room for my mom and she will be moving in tonight to a furnished room with mechanical hospital bed with TV, private phone, fridge and microwave. It is homey and totally nice. The staff so far is nice. They will take care of her based on what her needs are. I haven't eaten there but the menu looks nice. I would recommend it to others.

This place is within seven minutes drive from my sister's place. It's nice and clean. It looks like sort of a nice apartment complex. The people seemed to be very nice. The rooms are fine. The price doesn't seem to be unreasonable for what we've looked at and what we've talked to these people about . I would say it's price is moderately reasonable.

This place is amazing, considering the type of service that it provides. My husband's grandmother lived here for roughly two years, and they have some of the best employees. The service she received was attentive and consistent, and they always tried very hard to ensure that she was happy and cared for. The activities they had were varied and enjoyable for Granny. Whenever we would visit, we got to hear about her winning money at bingo games or the pretty birds they have in the lobby near the entrance. When Granny began to decline mentally, she was moved into the Alzheimer's wing of the facility, and the treatment she received there was as good, if not better. Granny never was upset when she was there, and the staff ensured that she was always stimulated with activities, conversation or group interactions. I could not think of a better place to have Granny when she was in her final days, as the employees as this facility truly cared about Granny as a person, not just another patient.
