Very short staff. Maybe 1 CNA on the floor in the eve! How is this legal? Poor housekeeping in the patients rooms, including bathrooms! Repairs needed in the rooms! Professional conversation isn't displayed by CNA n RN Supervisor! Family is treated as if concerns aren't important! Hospital visits are frequent! Signs are displayed for family to wear gloves. However staff enters n touches the patient with no gloves on! Staff doesn't wear mask. Thus covid enters the floor! How so when visitors r tested n required to wear masks! Patients wander the floor in their wheelchairs. Left unattended. Seen behind nurses station. Entering other patients rooms! Open conversation between staff on the floor regarding family n their complaints! These r only some concerns!

St. John's Home is a decent facility. It's a very nice-looking, well-kept-up place. My sister is on the floor for memory care and dementia. That's a difficult situation, but under the circumstances, I think she's receiving good care. I see what my sister is eating, and sometimes I'm there to help her eat. The food looks decent. It seems to be a good variety. She's not able to participate in much. They have people who come in and provide music, and she enjoys that, but she's physically not able to really do much, as far as crafts or anything like that goes. Most of these people have pretty advanced Alzheimer's disease. Maybe there are other floors with non-memory care patients who are there for physical reasons. Those floors probably offer more activities, but not on this memory floor. The cost seems to be in the range of a number of facilities that we looked at, so I'd say it's mid-range pricing.

We visited St. Johns, and we know people who worked there. We felt she would be taken cared of there. She has been there a few weeks now. They bring some day care children once a week to visit, and they all liked that. They do massages in the feet and hands, they do their nails, music, therapy, and others.

St. Johns is an older facility. They were set-up institutionally. They were set up to meet the needs of the patients there. However, St. Johns of Rochester has a very fine reputation. I didn't smell anything. The part where I visited was quite old, but everything looked fine, and it seemed to be nice and clean. If I want some of my family to be in an acute care facility, I would choose St. Johns because of their reputation. The staff seemed to be caring, and the person who took me around was enthusiastic and took her time with me. I was happy with the staff.

My mom is in St. John’s Home (St Johns Health Care Corporation) because of her many falls. I have tried the food and it was very good. If they don’t like what’s on the menu they can order from the cafeteria. They are extremely attentive to the patients. The rooms are clean, and the whole place is very clean. They have many activities for them to do. It’s the place that I’m glad I got my mother into.

Mom is in the assisted living part of St. John's Meadows and it is fabulous. We choose it because we have a history with St. John. They have a nursing home and my father-in-law is in their nursing home and he has absolutely fabulous care. So, when their assisted living place becomes available for mom, it is pretty much no brainer. We just have to go there since we have a history with the company. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I have yet to meet one that I am not impressed with. They have separate apartments and she has her own apartment. We take all her furniture there. They have chair exercise class three times a week. Mom is involved in a scrabble club. They have three different kinds of activities every day and they even have non-denominational prayer meeting. If she has doctor's appointment, they will go and pick her up. They will go shopping for her or take her shopping if she wants. I cannot say enough good about it. I want to live there. I will highly recommend them to every as a matter of fact, I have already done that.

My dad is in St. Johns Home (St Johns Health Care Corporation). I think the facility is very good. It is very clean and nice. I like the presence of the nurses, their friendliness, and the way they're on the ball. They are not lazy or just standing around. They are busy, and they go a little bit extra in what they are doing.
