I am a friend or relative of resident
I am a friend of a resident of Inlgis house for several years. this facility is truly amazing in my opinion. the building and grounds are spotless and every staff member I have met over the past years have all seemed to really care about the residents. most of the residents that I have met seem to have as positive an attitude as possible considering the health problems they have to face every day, every time I go to visit there is always some form of activity going on to try to make the lives of the resident a little bit better. my friends life and outlook has improved since moving here and the friends she has made are amazing.

I visited this facility
Most of the staff was really kind, to me at least. You could sense that some of the people that worked directly with the patients on a day-to-day basis had a little less patience with some stranger like myself asking questions and walking around. No one was mean, or cruel, but you could definitely tell that the job took a toll on them. Regardless of how stressed out they seemed, I could tell they genuinely cared about the people they were caring for. I can't imagine they'd be doing it otherwise. The whole building was extraordinarily clean. The few people I talked to that actually lived there were extremely positive. They had really great attitudes toward their situations, and seemed to appreciate all of the activities that the staff provided. The painters and musicians particularly impressed me.

The facility is good because it provides activities for the people living there, such as playing cards, using computers, going out on trips like baseball games, going to movies, out to eat etc. One huge problem is the fact that all the CNA workers are in a union and they are extremely difficult to fire if they are not taking care of the people properly. For instance my mother is a resident of Inglis house and one of the workers dropped her and broke her foot. There was a meeting about the incident but nothing happened to the worker, she was only given a write up which I fell is irresponsible on the part of the nursing facility. This could lead to serious issues such as the wrong medications being given or even worse, death. I have been in contact with the administrators there about this issues but nothing seems to be done about this problem. This is a very sad situation for the people currently living there, because sometimes I feel they are frightened to speak out about abuse or other occurances because they no they will still have to deal with the same CNA workers.
