The physical therapy was awesome, but was very disappointed in her daily care. My 82 year old mother broke her hip and the first experience I had there was a male CNA who was obviously tired and out of patience. When the button was pushed for help, waited for quite awhile and then he came in and seemed quite irritated about having to help her. This is the attitude that I found in many of the CNA's and nursing staff throughout her stay there, either not enough help for all of the people there, or workers that really don't love their jobs or the people that they are caring for. After four days there I noticed that her teeth looked bad and mentioned it to a nurse or cna in the room and was told there was a toothbrush in the bathroom if I wanted to help her. The tooth brush was still in the wrapper. She wheeled herself by her feet twice into the restroom go to the bathroom , and could easily have fallen and re-injured her hip. In both incidents I was treated as if I were bothering them. The first time was completely ignored by two nurses for quite awhile and I was standing right in front of them. One finally asked what I wanted and the lady kept writing, saying 'uh huh' but clearly not listening. Finally got through to them what happened and was told that an alarm would be attached to her chair. The second time it happened, was brushed off and told that the alarm must have been removed from her chair and that was it, The lady across the hall from my mom fell out of her chair, was very confused and thought she was being held against her will. The physical therapist was in our mom's room and saw that she had fallen and went running and calling for nurses. Had to YELL a second time to get someone to come and help him get her back in her wheelchair. After CNA's helped her back in her chair went up the hall laughing about it. Not funny and not kidding. Another CNA that helped my mom to the restroom was unaware that mom had a broken hip and was not weight bearing, this information was pointed out by my sister in law who was in the room. This is a beautiful facility with wonderful equipment and the physical therapist was awesome, daily care of your patients needs attention, either more help or people who truly care about helping people with serious injuries Thanks

My father was in Northern Utah Rehabilitation Hospital for approximately a month. Our experience there was pretty good. The exercise room was really beautiful. The building itself was fantastic. It was pretty new, and I thought it was only there for maybe a year. In the exercise room, there was a giant window where you could see the mountain's view, and it was phenomenal. I thought it was a really great atmosphere for someone to exercise in and rehab. It was the best facility as far as rehab, physical therapy, and stuff like that. It was also the cleanest place of them all. They really kept that place clean. The people there were great, and it is the most spacious facility.
