Not Happy In Noble

I am/was a resident of this facility

This facility is horrible! Wait times for the staff to answer call buttons is almost criminal. The building is antiquated and falling apart. The food was dry, tasteless and hard and forget it if you have to have a special diet. I do not recommend this facility to anyone unless there is some vast improvements made. I had personal belonging just walk away from my bedside. Never to be seen again. My meds were only correct about 70% of the time, nor were they given when they were supposed to be. I do not recommend this facility at all. Please place your loved ones somewhere else.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Please do not put your family member in this care home.  My mother was admitted with a caged broken ankle with a wound that needed to heal for surgery.  She is completely competent and able to communicate VERY WELL. She was the kind of person who when faced with a crisis she smiles and says”alright now let’s just look and see what God is about to do.  This is going to be great!” We knew something was terrible wrong when she called and told my sister that she hadn’t had any pain medication in 2 days. My sister had to take prescribed pain meds from home in order for her to have any relief. Then she contacted Covid so they moved her to the. Covid ward.  This is when the abuse began.  My mother has had several strokes over the last few years so on a normal day she has to take her medicine with a thickener.  We use applesauce.  She told the male nurse that she couldn’t take her meds without applesauce he became frustrated and thew them in the trash and walked out.  Mom called my sister and we called the head nurse.  While my sister was on the phone with mom on speaker the head nurse came in and said she found the meds in the trash.  She had him take the meds out of the trash.  Later we found out that they didn’t give her fresh meds but they gave her the meds out of the trash.  On a different occasion my Dad was on the phone with with mom and the lady in the nearest bed to her fell on the floor.  Mom called for help for 30 min according do my dad before the same male nurse came in to get the women off the floor.  He said to my mother he was busy and next time to mind her own @@@@ business.  The last thing I’m going to mention is when my sweetheart mother of 5 always compassionate to others called and asked for a bedpan so she could poop the male nurse on the Covid ward told her to poop in her pants he was working on the website and had to finish.  Then when he cleaned her up he kept shaming her and saying “you are nasty ew this is gross.  He was reported but was still allowed to come back to work.  Another nurse brought mom her pain pill in a pill cup and a tablespoon of applesauce.  Mom told her that she needed more applesauce to take such a large pill.  Mom called me on the speaker phone and told me what was happening I spoke to Alisson and she insisted that she had been giving her this pill this way for a few days and mom said that she had been choking on it every time and she stood up for herself this time.  Alison went out of the room and came back like she had added a bunch more.  I asked mom to try and take it. By this time the pill had melted somewhat and mom said the taste was nasty and she gagged.  I told Alison maybe she didn’t know but mom had a stroke and needed 1/2 a cup of applesauce to get pills down. I offered to have some applesauce delivered.  The next day we couldn’t get through to mom on her phone. I called and was placed on hold for 30 min.  When someone came to the phone they said that mom was unresponsive and her lips and fingers were blue.  They found her with her oxygen cannula above her head and her leg off the bed. The woman on the phone said they were trying to call us.  But I had been on hold for 30 min.   Mom died of seizures due to dehydration and lack of oxygen on Jan 20,2021.  PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR MOM IN THIS FACILITY.

I have been coming and volunteering with Noble Health Care Center for over the last fifteen years. I have had multiple family members in this facility. And have referred many of my church family to this facility. And we have been nothing but satisfied. The staff has always been very friendly and caring. And tended to our loved ones as if they were their own family. The administration has always welcomed any suggestions and addresses any concerns immediately. Anna and Jackie are very caring hard working and have always made sure that the Residents have been taken care of and has always been available to answer any questions. I have volunteered in many homes and this is by far the best facility around.

I am a past client of this provider

My mother-in-law was in Noble Health Care Center for six months. The staff was pretty nice, but I don't think they were checking her as frequently as they should. They should be more attentive and responsive and they have to improve the cleanliness in the facility in order to get rid of some smells.
