My mother stayed at Ridge Haven Health and Rehabilitation. I was very impressed. The facility was clean. They were very welcoming. We have a big family, and as we visited, there was never an issue of us coming and going. The sitting area outside was very nice. There's a wooded, shaded area to sit outside. My mom had rehab once a week. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that on the weekends there was no rehab. But otherwise, the rooms were very nice. The staff was very attentive and caring. The meals looked beautiful. The facility is always clean. We didn't pay for it, so it was insurance. Whenever we had a question, and if they couldn't answer the question they referred the question on to somebody that could answer it, so we heard back in an adequate amount of time if we had any concerns.

I was a rehab patient there recovering from toe amp surgery and IV infection prevention. First night there, I thought I might die from infection, the room was that filthy and disgusting, as was the foul slop they served as editable nutrition. The bathroom was covered with urine and feces! My roommate was suffering and crying and warned me to protect my belongings from theft! The staff was rude and didn't care about my medical needs! The public shower area was filthy and very poorly lit. It remained empty because it felt like a horror movie scene in there! And all this was BEFORE covid! I nicknamed the place "house of horrors"! I demanded to be transferred somewhere else, when I called my insurance case worker, then, they transferred me to a private room that was clean. The Hispanic, Christian, house keeping ladies, on the private room wing were very kind to me. And the young, mild special needs, girl who brought my breakfast a few times was sweet, kind, and more professional than the horrible medical staff! The night I left that hole, I was having chest pains, so I informed the nurse. By the way it took an hour for her to answer my call button. I told her I was having chest pains and if they didn't call for an ambulance transport back to the hospital I was going to call 911 from my cell phone. I still waited an hour after that! It wasn't until my husband showed up and demanded to know what was going on that they called for transport! House of horrors! This place needs an overhaul!!! They need Gordon Ramsay or Robert Irvine to get in there and set things right!!!

I am a resident of Orchid Cove at New Port Richey. I believe it's about one hundred twenty beds. The place is reasonably clean, and they provide everything from skilled nursing, down to people being on their own. The food is typical of nursing homes, it's not gourmet by any means, but it's adequate, and they try. If you cook every day for one hundred and twenty people, it would be difficult to remain first class for a meal. The staff is good, and the management is fair, but as far as homes of this type, this is probably one of the better ones.

This place needs to be closed down. I’ve been living in this state for several months now. My nana is sick and she is living in this place because other local family could no longer care for her. She can’t bathe herself, but she is still quite alert and with it. I have gone to this place more than 30 times to visit her. I see staff in other patient’s rooms “bathing them” and my god they are so rough. You can hear the patients moaning in pain and saying no. It is horrible, heart breaking. My nana said that she has been dealing with constant vaginal skin issues since she got here. They are extremely rough. Elderly folks have very sensitive skin. Any patients that are dealing with ulcers or infections are simply getting worse or not improving. The staff that do the bathing and feeding barely speak English. Seems like most of the patients here speak fluent English. My nan’s eyeglasses are filthy when I’m not able to come for a few days. She tells them she can’t see out of them and they don’t listen. I see little old ladies and med that starts closing their legs and going into a curled over position because they know they are going to be bathed. The staff are hurting these patients. There’s a woman that falls out of her bed on a daily basis and the staff have made zero effort to ensure her safety. There are times when you can’t find one staff member on the floor. They are on break. It is disgusting. Innocent people that can’t care for themselves are being man handled and thrown away. I’ve addressed these issues with management. I either don’t hear back, or I get the “we are really busy”. If they are so overwhelmed with patients and can’t or won’t care for the patients they have with dignity and respect they deserve, they shouldn’t be caring for ANYONE. I would not put my worst enemy in this place. I would put a gun in my mouth before I would allow myself to be admitted. It is as bad as you think but worse. I’m traumatized for life by the things I’ve heard and seen in this place, lost faith in humanity. These poor people are just going to fade away and die in there. I’m pulling my nan out and I’m permanently moving here. I work from home anyways. I refuse to let my loved one be abused. My family is appalled by what I’ve seen and heard. We will be taking legal action. These people will be held accountable.

My dad was a resident at Orchard Ridge and he was very well cared for. He was always clean and we know the staff worked extremely hard and loved my dad. The pandemic has created many challenges but we always trusted this facility. My only frustration was calling and not being able to talk to anyone, but I know they were super busy taking care of their patients. God bless the amazing staff, my dad loved them too. Thank you!!

The room was relatively clean ,in need of a paint job . Old looking . . There was a roach on the wall, and when I asked the aide to take care of it she said “ I don’t kill bugs “ and walked off ! 🤷♀️The food 🤮! My kids ordered from Grub Hub everyday for me. Major problem : 1 . Very short staffed . Two aides , two nurses for an entire floor ! Due to COVID 19 the gym closed. Showers , closed . Walking the corridor for exercise not allowed 😱 I was there for rehab , ( broken hip) All the p.t. I received was in the room . I’ve got to say , the therapists for p.t. & o.t. we’re terrific ! Thank God for them . Nursing staff for the most part was good . Special thanks to Shelby ,Patty ,Melissa, . Aides : Thank you Markie , Amy , Jessica , . Worst part of being there were the nights 😡 Let me put it this way ...If you weren’t self sufficient you’re screwed ! 5 stars to p.t. & o.t. 😎 Same for nurses and aides mentioned above . I ran into a few who shouldn’t be in this field at all ! Food.. -1star I wouldn’t recommend this place No Way ! Having to sponge bathe at the sink everyday for 3 weeks 😱 Shortage of linen , and towels . Honestly I do believe this place has potential if Genesis Corp. and management would stop lining their pockets at the expense of the patients ‼️ Staff is overworked , and under paid .
