Please note that all the prior reviews were prior to the facility going private. The care of the patients have gone down hill. I had my uncle in there for approximately 2 - 3 weeks. There were days that he was still in the same clothing as 2 days ago. My uncle was 77 with walking disability. He could not do this himself and a reason he was there. Please the staff is very friendly when you are being admitted. Within a week, I could not get an answer on his care and by the end of the 2nd week he was back into the hospital. If this is your last resort for care, please keep on the medical team, be persistent about speaking with the physicians (I was not able to in 3 weeks).

The employees at Buttonwood Hospital were wonderful and took a lot of time attending the residents to ensure they were as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Residents were encouraged to remain active and to participate in group type activities. It was always very clean and friendly and the grounds were pleasant.

My grandmother has been in and out of many sub-par facilities. The staff here are friendly and caring, and will make sure to fulfill all reasonable requests you make of them. There are a number of common rooms with TV's and sofas, and the standard events such as bingo are held regularly. She used to be a chain smoker, but over time at the facility her smoking declined until she no longer needed to smoke and was moved to the much nicer non smoking wing. It doesn't smell like urine, which is a common problem at almost any other hospice/assisted living/nursing home I've ever visited, which I have to imagine is a huge factor in the morale of not only the staff but the patients residing at the facility. Over all it is easily the best and most affordable assisted living facility in the area and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of such a facility.

Hi, Buttonwood Hospital was great with my mom. My mom had parkinsons disease and dementia. it was hard to leave mom at a nursing home because she was always with a family member and not on her own with a bunch of strangers. Yeah at first we kinda had our good and bads. but the bad i nipped it quick. I was there for my mom every day. i did not want her to feel that i was going to abandon her there. yes, i couldnt be there 24/7 and this is why i put her here. when there was a problem she would tell me and it was addressed to the supervisor and it was taken cared of ASAP. My mom was loved by alot of these nurses/aides even the cleaning crew.... i just think that if you are on top of things at any nursing home your family member will be taken cared of. now, if they are just left there and you dont go see them, then yes some people wont care. its ashame that that happens at places like this. Buttonwood, i have to say is very clean and the staff were wonderful with my mom. i have to give them a thumbs up..... My mom passed away a year ago and during her last days she had alot of staff members come and say their good byes and pray for her. they were wonderful..i still go and visit with other patience because all they are looking for is TLC. i would recommend buttonwood to friends and family.
