I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
When my friend first came to this nursing home facility, it wasn't the "prettiest" place but at that time it did have clean floors, the food looked good, and it didn't seem to have that nursing home smell. However, my friend has been there for a couple of years now and this facility has gone continuously DOWNHILL! There is almost no person who is NOT in a wheelchair. i very much got the impression they seem to want their residents to be wheelchair-bound. My friends room had torn wallpaper for months and a phone that had wires hanging from it. Phone in room was not operational. My biggest complaint is they don't seem to enforce any kind of "lights out" rule where the TVs and lights go out at a reasonable hour and send the visitors home. They let residents RUN their TVs all through the night so that the roommate can't get any sleep and let family members stay indefinitely, which is disconcerting if you are a female patient and your roommate has male visitor(s) that stay all through the night. Would you feel comfortable going to sleep with a strange man in your room? Then just this weekend I went inside and there was trash bags outside every room in the hall and laundry as well. Come to find out, NOW the RESIDENTS (not the staff) have to take their OWN trash and laundry to the door for pickup! It has now crossed the line to TERRIBLE!

I am/was a resident of this facility
I didn't like Midwest City Nursing Center. The location wasn't too bad because it was close to doctors, hospitals, and everything that I would need. The people inside weren't that friendly. They were trying to take care of so many people at one time. Residents had to go to the dining room, and I didn't like that. The services were mediocre. They didn't provide food that I really liked. They needed to improve everything. See, the residents were locked inside. They weren't able to go out unless somebody signed them out. I want to be able to step outside my door and have fresh air. There were two beds in the unit, which was kind of like a hospital room.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My family & I have been extremely happy with Midwest City Nursing Center. Since my Grandmother has been there the staff has made us feel very comfortable able making this decision. From being greeted at the door by Ms. Pearly, to the care given by our favorite nurse Kristi M. And the aides that are ready & available when needed (just to name a few...KD, John, Amber, Terri). The office staff has also been helpful, Stephanie, LaShawn, & the DON, Dee. I could go on & on but I won't.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My mother-in-law went to Midwest City Nursing Center for rehab. She hadn't been there eight hours before they let her fall off the bed and break her hip. Some of the nurses were very nice, some of them seemed like they really cared, and others acted like they could care less, but I know they have either of that probably in every facility. After she fell, we talked to the director, and I didn't think she really cared that much. The place was not clean; the room was always dirty. I would not recommend this place to anybody.
