I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The level of incompetence in this place is astounding.. where do I begin? My elderly mother with dementia was brought into this facility after a fall. I am from out of state but spoke with her case manager, Angie, to get updates before I could get down there. When I finally could get down there I met with Angie face to face. We talked about my mother’s condition and where she was at. She made this off the cuff remark about my mother saying “you know she’s an alcoholic, right?”. To which I replied “what?!” She says, “yeah when your mother was brought in she was intoxicated, it’s all in her discharge notes.” When I asked if she could show me she said no because of hippa… but there was no rule against her talking to me… when I finally did obtain the notes for myself it didn’t say that anywhere. I asked for her to show me and she immediately started to back pedal and suddenly had stuff to do. The majority of the nurses there do not care. Most of the ones I talked to barely gave you a second and brushed off any concern I had. My mom had a yeast infection that looked like it had been there a while. When I pointed it out to a FEMALE nurse she handed me a topical cream to take care of it. I have no problem helping my mom but she needed antibiotics. I hope she felt her mistake when she was met with a glare from me. My mother ripped out her own catheter, and the doctor came in, pressed her stomach, asked her if she was ok and that was the end of her check up. Had I not discovered that her catheter was still inside of her and she had only taken the bag off it would have probably remained there. On discharge they asked me if I wanted a walker or wheelchair for my mother. I asked for the chair, they told me it would be there at the facility on the day of her release. It was not, they had it sent to my home. They were supposed to have her prescriptions ready when we left. They did not. In fact I got a call from their pharmacy asking me when my mother was discharging so they could have her prescriptions ready. She had been in Washington for a day already… On a positive note, the facility is clean. So at least while you watch your love one get treated like a Medicare paycheck it will be done so in a clean environment. Also, if you have the pleasure of encountering Mykel or Heya, they are both amazing wonderful people who generally cared and took the time to be kind.

100% nearly IMPOSSSIBLE to reach your loved one. The main number is a JOKE!! They rarely answer it, and when & if they do, they transfer you into a deep dark hole of a phone ringing that either never gets answered or once it does, they hang up. Bad part is staff is aware of the problem so is Management, do they care if you can't reach your loved one? Oh ya reaching the nurses station is also a joke. I've been in there MANY MANY times and there are more than enough people there to answer the calls and direct them, not sure why they do not.

I was a patient there with COVID Pneumonia. I thought the facility was the absolute best I’d ever seen. The staff were so professional and always kind and helpful. Food was very good too! I highly recommend this place

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!! Facility seems clean but a bit run down- torn, old furniture. The staffing ratio is unacceptable and unsafe. Many of the staff are rude and indifferent and seem unqualified. Patients are left unattended for long periods of time. My father was not fed more than once because they “forgot” because his room was the last on the long hallway. Nurse Renee and CNA Larry are extremely rude and show zero empathy towards patients. Cannot be bothered with tasks such as showering or toileting patients with limited mobility. Case Manager Angie P is also exceptionally rude and does not complete required tasks of her job. Took 8 hours of repeated phone calls and e-mail and a face to face meeting to submit a referral and the. The referral was incomplete. My father was removed from the facility by paramedics via 911 after only 6 days there with pneumonia, a UTI and bed sores. AVOID AVOID AVOID this facility! *nurses Sharon and Julia were very kind and attentive as well as CNA Kendra.

Sante of Mesa is clean and quiet. It is laid out decently. The room size is fairly good. My dad is comfortable there. We can adjust the air in his room. He loves the food, too. The amount of time that I've spent there has been pretty extensive and everybody's been very nice. He's been very happy.

My wife is at Santé of Mesa. The staff members are nice and everybody is pretty easy to work with. They keep me informed about what is going on. The facility is nice and well kept. It's in a pretty convenient location and the food seems to be good. It is pretty nice for the cost compared to some more expensive places.

The staff is very caring . Sometimes it takes the CNA’s a while to answer a call bell, but all are pleasant and polite. The food is good, but again, sometimes very slow to arrive. The therapists are outstanding and really help one to reach their goals.

I was at Sante of Mesa for three weeks for rehab. It was gorgeous, it was like a resort. We had a little restaurant down in one corner, and if you don't like the food, you can get salads or sandwiches, coffee, and smoothies. They were strict. When I went in, I couldn't get out of bed, but when I left, I could use a walker, and could get in and out of bed. The food was fantastic, and I never had problems with the employees. They had some games, they would have contests, but they didn't have as much outside entertainment coming in.

Such a change from the facility we used in early 2017. This facility is welcoming and more like a hotel than a hospital. The dining room is open 7am to 7pm for you to stop in or order a room tray. All meals are prepared fresh, you don’t order ahead for the next day. Guests are welcome with meals ranging from about $7 - $12. The rooms are various sizes, some doubles with a partition dividing them, most are singles. The room sizes vary greatly, the smaller rooms have a single pull out sofa and larger rooms have a double sofa bed, more chairs and even an ottoman. Rooms have a mini fridge, a microwave and accessible bathroom. The staff are friendly and professional including serving staff, housekeeping, the aids and the RNs. Most were cheerful and we heard no complaining by the staff. Sometimes they were super busy and they apologized when they were not able to answer the call light right away. The PT and OT staff were professional and appeared to be on a very tight schedule. A session was about 30 minutes, I think they just had too many patients to spend more time and were scheduled with patients back to back. They were well trained and kept good notes on progress and next steps. From the Case Workers to the Transport Drivers to the Receptionists to Doctors and Administrators, it was a good experience to help get my guy back home.

My husband was at Sante for rehab. It’s a very upscale place. They took real good care of the patients there. I liked the people, they’re professional and knew what they’re doing. That was a good experience.

My mother was at Sante of Mesa. It was awesome and very new. There was a coffee shop, a sitting area, fountains, and just very attractive facilities. The staff was very good and very attentive. We worked a lot with the social worker there, and she was outstanding. There were lots of activities like a poker day and bingo. When they had the family day -- which was Father's Day -- they had a big buffet for families who came in. They had vendors came in, and they were selling jewelry. Because it was skilled, the residents were far more ambulatory. The food was above average. There was nothing outstanding about the rooms, but they were very nice and clean.
