I am/was a resident of this facility

I am in Country Villa Westwood for rehab. It looks nice, clean on the inside, and the people are great and nice. I get therapy every two hours a day and do other activities. The food is good and they test us for COVID twice a week. It's just the staff doesn't answer the call sometimes for your needs. They could do better on that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The staff is different on ever shift and not friendly at all. Don’t even think about calling on weekends I was on hold for 45 minutes trying to get a CNA. Administrator just tries to cover up for the staff. Misplaced mini pad during COVID-19 so you couldn’t see your loved one. Finally see them and bed sores, they’re balled up like a fetus but they claim they are doing Therapy No Way at all. They don’t care about your love one here just the money.

The worst employees. No one knows what they're doing. When I've called no one answered the phone. Supervisor Angie worthless.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I knew nothing of rehab centers before my father was transferred here from UCLA post-surgery. He was brought over while I was at work and until I showed up in the evening, he was being grossly mistreated. Once the staff realized he had someone, their behavior changed, and fast. My father has no bottom teeth and so cannot chew, they had solid food for him. They did not communicate with him in the least assuming him addled and incontinent. It was offensive. My father stayed here close to three weeks during which time he deteriorated greatly. I watched him go downhill minute by minute on my daily visits, which extended for hours. He wouldn't eat, they did nothing about it. I arranged for transport to the doctor, they didn't call it in. I asked for the resident doctor, called him, it took him five days for him to call me back, and when he did finally call me at work and I had to wrap up one tiny thing before I spoke to him, he hung up. No one I spoke to there was able to direct me in any way on how I could help my father. His feet never touched the ground for the duration of his time there. Physical therapy? I don't think so. He developed an earache, which I tried to get the staff to address. They didn't, and he ended up with a protracted infection for which he had to be removed to the emergency room. This last piece of neglect was the best thing that could have happened as the hospital brought my father back to life. When they brought up him going back to rehab, I put my foot down and took him home. He is thriving. Whatever you do, get friends, get family, get help from anyone, and don't let your loved ones end up in this place.
