I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is in Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center. The grounds are clean. The room is clean. There's good space in it. The services are good, but they don't return your phone calls. They have bingo and movies and stuff like that. I've been in the rehab part, but I don't know what they had to offer. She was in the hospital and they chose Abbotts for rehab.

My mother did rehab at Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center. The facility was very nice, very clean, and no noticeable odors or anything of that nature. The people were good, very helpful, and friendly. It was a bit pricey. It was small and a little more family oriented. It seemed to be a good place.

Provider Response

Hi Carol, thank you so much for your positive comments about Abbotts Creek Center! We're looking forward to your next visit with us!

This is a wonderful facility, caring, kind, good rehab work daily, good activities as well. Our 95 year old friend went through the flu at hospital for a week - very, very sick and went to Abbotts creek and we are well pleased with this facility. Encourage others looking for a rehab to try to get in there.

Wonderful staff and care given. I was a resident here following a broken hip. The food could have been better but , in retrospect, my diet had not been beneficial to my health for a very long time , and I felt better than ever before after eating a diet that was healthy. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place above all others in Lexington.

The initial visit was very informative, but my mother was told she would get physical therapy three times per day after her surgery. Most days she only received therapy once per day. Davidson County jail serves better meals. On her first night there, the nurses never answered the call button. My mother was in severe pain, so she finally called 9-1-1. THAT got there attention!! The night nurses claimed they didn't know she was there. Horrible place!!

My uncle was a patient at this faility. He had the best care I had ever seen. The staff was wonderful, they were the most caring and compassionate group of people I have ever seen. He had been in other facilities over the past few years and Abbotts Creek is by far the best! The nurses kept my aunt and I informed of his care and were always available for questions. The administration was wonderful, caring and compassionate. We always recommend this facilitiy to family and friends. God bless you all and thank you for all that you do!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone nursing staff very mean and did not take good care of my mom. On several occasions she ask for help and was treated very bad. I can't believe how bad elderly people are treated and just think we trust these people to take care of our loved ones. I would recommend if you have a family member in a hospital, nursing home or any other place to make sure you check on them a lot. I would have never thought this place would treat someone this way. I think that some of there staff should be fired for treating patients the way my mom was treated and I'm sure they treat other patients this way. I always said what comes around goes around so maybe one day these people will be treated that way. I am so sad this place treats people this way my mom is worse since she stayed here did not help her at all.

Overall displeased with care provided to my grandmother. Fluid blisters left untreated without any contact or evaluation requests made to any of her Doctors. Pneumonia diagnosed while resident; again no contact or evaluation requests made to any of her active Doctors. Therapy did not prepare her for handling any of her daily activities, and upon discharge, my grandmother is unable to even dress herself. Instead of improving and progressing under this facilities care, she has declined since leaving the acute care hospital.

Instead of bringing my father a bed pan , they once instructed him to just "go" on himself and they would change him, it was much easier that way.
