Montage Ridge was beautiful and I was impressed with the whole facility. It was clean and the people looked happy. It just looked like a nice place to live. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. They looked brand new to me, the walls were painted with nice colors, and the carpeting was nice. The kitchen was nice. I just saw studios because that's all that we would be interested in. I could have moved in there myself. The dining area was very nice and very comfortable. I think my mom would be happy in a place like that. They talked to me about the different activities. I saw some ladies playing cards and I think that there were a lot of nice amenities for them. The director gave me the tour, and she was very nice.

My mom is in assisted living at Montage Ridge, but now she is in and out of the hospital. It didn't feel like an old person's home. They have activities for them all the time. I would recommend them. My mom's room is clean. They take good care of her. They do a good job with the upkeep of the facility. The staff are caring and friendly. My mom is doing all right. They are wonderful. They take good care of the building. The dining area is accessible and clean. If the residents can't go to the dining area, they will bring the food to their room. They have patios, but it's winter right now.

Mom is at Montage Ridge and so far it's been very good. The staff has been very friendly, very helpful, and compassionate. The rooms are nice. They have exercises and other activities to do. The atmosphere is very nice and very positive.

We decided to go with Montage Ridge for my mother. We like the ratio of caretakers to residents inside memory care. They're very helpful and very informative. My grandma lived there, so we were familiar with it on some level. It's very clean. They have everything that most communities have. They have a library, group meetings, and a separate skilled nursing area. They offer full services.

My brother is currently in Montage Ridge. It's very nice, very clean, and very well managed. They do have activities, but he does not avail himself of those. He stays mostly in his room. He's an avid reader and he watches some television, but he does not go to any of the readings, nor any of the movies. The staff is wonderful. They have live music that comes in, they have church services, and things like that. We're paying $4700 a month, but I'm finding out that it's not that expensive, and that other places are a lot higher than that.

I would never recommend anyone go here. They are not concerned about your family member only your money. Infection rates are high.

We went to see Montage Ridge. It's totally self-pay, which we could do for a while, but it doesn't transition to Medicaid. If we would put my mother-in-law in a place, we would need a place that would transition to Medicaid. That would have been a very good place. We saw the assisted living there. That day we visited, she was fine, and then they sent a nurse out, and she thought my mother-in-law would have to go into memory care. They're in the midst of remodeling. We saw three different apartments, whatever you want to call them, rooms that were fully done, and they were beautiful. They're just updating. We were very impressed with Montage, it's just that it's fully self-pay, and we'd be in a mess when she's out of money.

Montage Ridge seemed interested, but after interviewing my mom, which is the one we needed assisted living for, they said that they couldn't help us. We toured the facility and we got everything set up. I was trying to get my parents put in there because that place is a mile and a half from my house. They set up an interview at the place that Mom was staying at and they got back to me and said that they couldn't. She needed two-people assist out of bed and into chairs, and into the bathroom, and they couldn't handle that. They showed us a library, a dining room, an exercise area, and a physical therapy section. They showed us the memory care area, but we didn't go back into the skilled nursing. They offered food; in fact, they sent my dad and I back with a couple of plates to try their food. My mom had been and still is refusing food, so they were concerned enough to get us each a plate to try, but I didn't try it. We told them that we had just eaten lunch. I never got around to it, and it got cold.

Montage Ridge looked very tired and old, it just didn't appeal to me. The studio room I saw was good, everything was just a little bit older, and in need of remodeling. The staff was nice and helpful. Their dining area was getting remodeled, so it wasn't available for me to see. They have an area for people to do puzzles, and they have someone on staff that was trying to keep the residents engaged. They had a nice courtyard, but it's kind of small for me. I wanted something a little walkable for my mom since she loves to walk, and theirs didn't seem too conducive to walking.

Do not go here if you do not fit into the little box that they think you should. If you have high oxygen needs or special considerations this is NOT the place to be! The therapy department refused to give my step-dad the amount of oxygen he needed. I tried to work with them, the pulmonologist sent orders, to which I was told that “just because they sent the order doesn’t mean they will be followed.” The therapy director said that “they wouldn’t raise his oxygen just to see what he needed” The social worker told me that “it is hard for the heart to pump oxygen through the body.” Spoiler alert, it is hard for the heart to pump when there ISN’T enough oxygen. This place actually put my step dad in danger by letting his oxygen levels get below what is safe. An OT even falsified reports about how much oxygen was being used. Orders were not put into the system properly. CNAs did not know what the orders were even when they were in the system. This place might be great if you just need to rehab from a minor surgery but is not safe if you have serious issues. I went through all proper channels to get proper care, even spoke to Corporate Office. I am filing a complaint with the state because my loved one was put at risk in this facility. This was Brookedale Green Mountain when he went in, but was acquired by Generations and changed to Montage Ridge while he was there.

Brookdale Green Mountain was a nice and clean community. The staff is informative and tells you everything that goes on. The room I saw is a one-bedroom. I looked at both assisted living and total care where they do everything for you. The atmosphere of the place is really nice and it looked like everybody was happy. Their dining area was also nice and clean, and everything was like in a hotel. All the medication you've gotten from the doctor, they'll have to take care of that.

I'm sorry to have ever let my mother become a resident at the Green Mountain Brookdale. The list of complaints is lengthy starting with being charged for personal care that was not being provided, paying for meal delivery service and only receiving part of what was ordered which was always cold and several times a week not being given silverware to eat it with, having the weekly cleaning of the apartment included in the rent to only have it cleaned (if you can call it that) a handful of times in 10 months, to the lack of skill or compassion of many of the caregivers. I have photographic and written documentation of all of the complaints I have listed above. Brookdale is solely a money generating enterprise, only concerned about making a profit and not caring at all about their residents or their caregiving staff. My mother has since passed but do you think one of the members of the management team at that facility (that I spoke with on a regular basis about my concerns) could have offered a call, email or note of condolence? No. Hopefully it is because they are ashamed of the lack of service provided and the way my mother was treated there.

Brookdale Green Mountain had availability, a convenient location, and beautiful grounds. They were super easy to interact with. The staff was helpful and comfortable to talk to. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. However, the residents did not look very happy.

My father continued his stay at Brookdale. I think it's pretty good, it's a little pricey, but I think they do a good job. I have no complaints. The staff is very good, and accommodating. The location is very nice, and near my sister. My father is in a 1-room apartment, with a small kitchen area, and a nice, large bathroom for handicapped folks. It was very suitable.

This place started out so good! There were so many problems I am not sure where to start. The building has been refurbished but it is still an older building with small rooms and narrow halls. They had extraordinary rate increase and the quality of care did not rise. My father was in memory care. The activity director was excellent. My father often wore the same dirty clothes for a week. Please look around! There are many good places for a lower price.

We had to move my father after a dramatic increase in fees as we saw the staffi and activities being decreased. The staff seemed more involved with their cell phones than the patient care.. The facility went through a major remodel so it shows well but the care really declined. I would visit my father 2 to 3 times a week only to find him wearing the same dirty clothes. Unless he was in the activity room he was left sitting in his room by himself--no staff bother to bring the residents to the activities. He required a mechanical diet and theiir fee for providing the diet was a thousand dollars montyly.

Brookdale Green Mountain is a little understaffed and they weren't honest about their price. They jacked it as soon as we brought my grandmother in there, so we might not be able to afford to keep her there as long as I thought. The staff members are good people. There's been a lot of construction going on with new windows and roofing, so the grounds haven't been that nice.

We were not happy at all with our experience at Brookdale (long term care). I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a week plus. They were in the middle of staff changes so I wasn't too quick to judge although that should not have had an affect on my fathers care regardless. After pointing out the areas where they were failing it took another week to yet again express my complete dissatisfaction. I have since had a meeting with the executive director to see about compensation because this place is not inexpensive. A long laundry list of very basic services continued to not be met. Laundry, personal grooming, very dirty floor, clogged toilet for over 24hrs, lost and stolen items, lost dentures, no remote for tv, and just plain neglect in some cases. Since talking with the DoN, Social Director and Executive Dir. I believe they might be on the right track and have replaced certain staff members. Unfortunately my Dad's neglect was the catalyst for the potential change. Be very vigilant if you decide to admit your loved ones to this long term care facility. Looks can be deceiving and sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

They were really good to my dad. He wasn't there long...went from an independent living facility to the hospital to rehab and then we found Brookdale when it became obvious that he could not go back to being on his own. He was only there for a month and a half, but they were very good to him.

Brookdale Green Mountain was a lovely facility. It just did not work for us. It was just an efficiency apartment. There was no living room or a kitchen, just a bedroom. We like to cook and prepare our own meals and that was why we were not at all interested in there. The staff was lovely. The amenities were very nice, and it was well maintained. However, we weren't in that situation in life yet, which was full care.

We left my mom in the same place because they came up with a room for her. It's been fine, and they've been really good. They're expensive, though, but they provide good care, and we believe they've done a good job with her. They try to get her to participate in the activities, but it's very difficult because her memory is so bad. The staff is great. Brookdale Green Mountain is a good place, and I'd recommend them if they can afford it.

Brookdale Green Mountain seemed to have a good assisted living situation, but their memory care unit was not as good as the other place I visited. The staff seemed only sort of knowledgeable and had useful information. It is basically more focused on assisted living, and we are not interested in just assisted living. The rooms seemed clean and nice.

Brookdale Green Mountain seems very nice and pleasant. The staff is great and caring. Mom has only been there a month and a half, and she is settling in. The rooms were pleasant although a little smaller than I was expecting, but not significantly so. They seemed comfortable, and it seems to work. The food seems good, and the dining room setup is interesting. It takes a while for my mom to settle in, but she is now meeting people and eatingg with others. They have an exercise classes and crafts, and so far mom is participating there.

My Mom has lived here for 3 years. The staff is great. They go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the doctors and nurses there. They don't seem to care about the residents, rarely follow through on things, and rarely keep family informed of medical issues.
Provider Response
Thank you for your feedback. We strive to meet the medical needs of each resident according to the acceptable medical protocols and standards. The physician and related parties are not associates of the community, however they have been credentialed by the community. Each physician is selected and retained specifically by the resident to oversee their medical care.
This community is a CMS Five Star Rated community and is also one of the US News and World Report selected “Best Nursing Facility.”

Emeritus was big and a little bit more in personnel. There were more activities going on because there were more people. The residents there would have more to choose from and things to do which is a real big plus. The rooms and hallways were comparable and on two floors or three. Everything seemed a little darker because you can be in an interior hallway. They had cooks rather than chefs.

I thought there was a lot of staff turnover at the Emeritus at Green Mountain, but they were very nice. The rooms were fine; they were small, but that is what they are. The facility was clean and new, and the prices were in the right price range for me.

The people were friendly at Emeritus at Green Mountain. My husband and I when we went to visit the plce, we had a very, very good feeling. The rooms are bigger and brighter. It is not as depressing. They have on every floor a small sitting area where they have pastries or simple food for the residents and I just like that. I also like that they have device either a necklace or bracelet that warns that the staff that a resident has fallen.

I like the aesthetics of Emeritus and I like the attention they give to their residents. My mother was there. The room that she was in was great. The staff was also great. Their working attitude was extremely positive. It was all about their residents. They did a great job. Regarding activities, my mom couldn't participate in any of them but I can see them going on and it looked like everybody was having a good time. I talked to some of the other residents and they seemed to enjoy it.

Emeritus was a marvelous place to go. It has three different main houses with buildings for specialized care. The rooms were big enough for a couple to move in. There were a lot of activities going on. This was an excellent place for assisted living.

Absolutely every question I asked was answered fully and clearly, and I am confident that the folks at Emeritus Green Mountain will respond in the same way to any other questions I might have in the future. A grade of A+ for every aspect of the shopping/decision-making process. Special kudos to Mirjana, Traci, Ash and Kenny (both from the kitchen) and to Kenny B.
