I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They treated my husband like a child. He is a little person and was there for PT after total hip replacement surgery. They only walked him to the bathroom and that was all. He wanted to do more walking but every time someone said he had no one there to do so. Also had to wait a very long time to go to the bathroom for no answer to his call. Bad place

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. My father was here for 6 days before being rushed to the emergency room. We warned the staff that my dad was a brain bleed patient and a high fall risk. They left him in his wheelchair alone in his room. Unfortunately, as predicted, my dad fell. In my opinion, the staff was rude and unprofessional.

This is a terrible place! It smells like the patients are never bathed. The call light that my father was trying to het help with , did not get answered for over an hour. Some of the cna ‘ s are nice. It is just not a place one’s loved one would want to end up at.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law did go into this nursing home . It was not a great experience. She was there for seven weeks. The problem is when somebody is alert and is only there for short term, I don't think they're really attuned to that type of patient. They weren't as attentive as what I would have liked or that my mother-in-law would have liked. The meals were terrible. Staffing was minimal, so that caused increased time in call bells being answered. My mother-in-law called 2:20 a.m. at our house, and said, 'Rhonda, I can't get a hold of anybody. Can you call down here? I have to go to the bathroom really bad.' Now, this is at night. It's not busy. Nobody came until I called down there, and then they went to help her. At that time, she couldn't do it independently. I bought her a cell phone so that she could communicate outside of the cordless phone that they have. She's 89 years old, and she learned how to use a cell phone. Nobody should have to call 2:30 in the morning and say, 'Can you get some help for me' when the call light is on. The meals, maybe they were OK for others. My mother-in-law might be a little picky, but she did not like them at all. She lost 10 pounds while she was there. When I called down there, the administrator and the social worker would call me back. We would work to try to resolve some things. Due to COVID, they had minimal staff. That's no fault of the nursing home itself, and obviously it was hard to visit her. We had to make appointments and call 24 hours before (and that's just part of COVID). We understand that, but it added to the anxiety of her being there and wondering if we're ever going to be able to see her. We were able to take my mother-in-law's personal recliner so that was a positive. They shared bathrooms, and I didn't like that. I don't think that they remodeled or anything like that. They got a new phone system too, but you couldn't even get through. I was very thankful that she had her cell phone, so at least we could talk to her, but you couldn't talk to the staff who didn't know how to use the phone system. They carry this cell phone around, but they still don't answer the phone all the time.

I visited this facility

Upon entering the facility, the staff seemed like they were friendly and willing to help. I was taking a tour of the facility, which meant following one of the RNs up and down the hallways, as she gave bits of information about each room. She maintained a great of professionalism, and through her cadence I could tell that she was being sincere and honest about her information. As I walked by some rooms, I saw various patients and their living situation. I must admit that their living quarters were not the fanciest of accommodations, but they seem to have all the basic things. The beds seemed comfortable, and the outside view was relatively beautiful. Their recreational room had many family games; things like board games, puzzles, and books and magazines. There was also a television in each ceiling corner of the room. The people in the room seemed fairly well entertained, and the nurses were checking on the patients quite frequently. The over cleanliness of the facility was pristine, but it was fair. Definitely not dusty or anything of the sort, but it lacked a bit of shine that you normally expect from hospital-like environments. All-in-all, the staff seemed to be extremely friendly and professional. They seemed to care greatly for their job as well. The facilities were decent-looking, and the quality of life was upheld to some standards. I would recommend this place for someone who cannot afford high-end facilities, but does not like to settle for any gutter place in town. This place is overall just OK.
