Aloha to all who read this, DO NOT bring your loved ones here. You would be better off giving your loved ones a shot or a pill to put them out of misery then spend their last days on Earth in this place. I have a hanai auntie that was just placed in this hale, and the cate from the nurses is equivalent to any prison. You can just tell by the raistings from other people THAT CARED ENOUGH TO LEAVE A COMMENT that this place is not worth any human beings time or dignity. I certainly hope this place gets investigated and shut down...or at the very least, all new staff and management. One example of the staff having declined to take my hanai auntie to the restroom when she requested the need for it. This is my review and I'm not afraid to report this place for the safety and care of the Kupuna. Callahan Welsh.

Hale Makua is a good place, the staff that I have had the pleasure to come into contact with have always been more then helpful to me. And as far as Grandma is concerned they are more then patient with her. I think that it takes a special kind of person to care for the needs of another Human especially an adult. It is not a job for everyone. The residents who live there all seem to not want for anything and with that said I have never heard of a resident having a complaint about the way that they are being treated and to me that speaks volumes.
