I am/was a resident of this facility
When entering a step up facility the patient should have a advocate with them. This facility took me to a room and then did not show me which of the two open beds out of four I was to use. Meals were not explained. I was visited by the occupational, speach, and exersize, therapists they were all very nice. About a half an hour later of waiting for a tour or introduction I heard a lady calling for help. She called out three times so I went to see if I could assist her. She was 3/4 of the way off her bed and stated she did not know where she was. I lifted her back on the bed and went to get an Aid. The Aid was kind of flippant and said that was ""Rose", and she does that all the time. The lady Judy who entered the room told me I chose the right bed. She tried to explain meals to me then requested help to get into her bed. An Aid told her she had to wait as they still had trays to do. Judy tried to explain she also needed to use the rest room quickly. So another Aid came in and they discussed how to handle the situation. The first Aid to Judy to the toilet. From the gaseous spraying of diarrhea I suspect it was just a teensy bit late. Then one Aid told me I had to mark any time I went to the bathroom. There was no pen by the chart so I used my own. Later I was ostracized for marking the chart, which she then did wrong. First nights meal was Swedish meatballs without gravy and a miserable grade of meat. The side of sliced cooked zuccini was cold, bruised bottom of the barrel. The lemon and orange drink was watered down powder dink no real juice. I ordered a hotdog, chips and side salad for the next days dinner.. They brought me shepherds pie with sliced carrots. I have never seen this presentation of shepherds pie! The soup pre-dinner was served cold. When the Aid went to serve herself, she said out loud this is cold, then threw it away. Gee, maybe someone should have turned on the crock pot! The best part were the therapists. I would recommend bringing the patient in for their therapy and not paying $605.00 for poor care, horrid food and bad attitudes. Oh and I was tested for TB 30minutes before I left the third day! I thank god for my family and friends!

I visited this facility
I visited Faith Haven. They were very helpful explaining the care residents receive in a nursing home versus assisted living. They were really friendly and knowledgeable. However, that was not the care we needed.

I am a friend or relative of resident
This is got to be the worst there is. They don't take care of their patients, food (what little bit you get) is no good, rarely get medicine on time. I definitely would not recommend this place.

I visited this facility
This nursing home is one of the worst in the State of Michigan (1 out of 5 stars) and for very good reasons. My Uncle was patient there and was neglected. The patients just wander up and down the halls all day with nothing to do. This place is a real dump.
