I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
I hope they call a residents family, to inform them of a decline. They didn't call me and my mother passed away without her family there. I received the news thru a outsider the next day that my mother was gone asking what the arrangements would be... Total Devastation.. I'm just now posting for its almost a 1 ur anniversary, Still not able to comment on this treatment of authority at a facility...

I am/was a resident of this facility
I was sent here because of insurance while most of the staff was attentive and some where on top of their game a lot were horrible. This place had hard time getting pads diapers clean gowns on weekendse , they only had call lights outside the door no speakers and most times the light got ignored for quite awhile. One of my first nights they had turned me for cleaning my wound and had crossed my leg which at time was paraylized. I had to continually yell out door because they ignored light to get someone to reposition me. Most times I had pooped on myself because they took time getting a bed pan to me or I had to lay there in poo for 1 1/2 hours because it was feeding time and had noonebto clean me up. Big I needed to get out bed sit up I had to fight to get lift in to get me up they were short on equipment they didn't come around fill water pictures. The food most times was crummy and items missing off your tray. Weekends were the worse beans and stale block corn bread or a floppy cold grilled cheese with one slice cheese. I ate same flavor yogurt for 3 months The wouldn't request a variety. I had patients wander into my room all hours. On a couple days I wasn't feeling well I got talked down to and threatened to be thrown out if I didn't go PT PT was a joke I wasn't able to start walking till I got outside therapy with Elite it was a bad place to be

My favorite aunt is a resident at this nursing home and my family is very pleased with the care she receives. My aunt has been in other places before, and while some of them have been nicer on the outside, she has made the most progress at Magnolia Manor Inman. In the past, if my family has suggested she consider staying for the remainder of her life, she has gotten very depressed and we felt we had to take her home and try to take care of her. Now that she is at Magnolia Manor Inman, she has readily agreed to stay there! She says she has made friends and the staff treats her like a princess. I am also very impressed that most of the staff speak to me by name when I visit. My family is very happy.

I visited this facility
Foul odor of Urine overwhelms you as one comes thru the entrance. In fact, it never goes away. I had to keep my nose covered during the tour. They are celebrating their 50 yr anniversary & it shows with its outdated age from the exterior to the interior. I felt that they tried to distract you with the waxed & buffed floors in order to hide the filth I had seen throughout. It just smelled BAD & could use some serious sterilization & cleaning. Black mold was pointed out in patients rooms around the windows & ceilings. I also saw black mold & water stains in the dining hall & other areas of the building. Peeling paint was found, along with rust & duct tape around windows, doors & ceilings. Cobwebs, food crumbs, dust, sticky fingerprints, broken furniture were located in dining hall & other areas. Mouse traps are placed throughout kitchen & laundry facilities. Stray cats roam the property outside, but seem to hang around the overflowing dumpster. The nursing home looks like & feels like an old, decaying hospital & had some similarities to a hospital morgue. Residents appear neglected & depressed. Housekeeping staff located outside smoking or sitting in their cars. Nurses seemed nice, but short staffed. There was not a sitting area or court yard for the residents to enjoy outside. Hospital beds look as old as the building. Lack of privacy in residents rooms. There's so much more I could say, but I was in shock when I left. I have seen much better facilities in Spartanburg county. What an embarrassment for the cozy town of Inman SC.

I am a family member of a resident at this facility. This is the worst nursing home in the upstate. The care the patients receive at this nursing home is horrible. The management never listens to the families concerns. Management at this facility is constantly changing and staff members that should be fired are allowed to keep their jobs. The care our loved one has received as been so poor that we are actively searching for another facility. If I can caution anyone, the company that owes this facility and the leadership here do not care about the patients or the quality of care they receive. If you have a choice please do not send your loved one to this place.

Very unhappy! This facility is very short handed to say the least. Yes they have a good number of activities for the patients. Weekend caregivers didn't seem to b as good as the weekday help. The calls received about patient care wasn't important as the things we needed to hear about. If your love one gets sick ..you have to be very persistent to get help for them. The doctors an professional help never got around to the patients as much as they should. If you needed anything from the business office. You had better go in person before 4 pm in the afternoon or else you would b out of luck. If u do happen to get one person in the business office still there ..an they are on a personal phone call, you will probably get yelled at for needing help. With the hrs we work an our loved ones are there all weekend ..it is hard getting there during business hours... I have always understood customer service as an important one..as so you wouldn't have that position if it wasn't for the customers or the patients..a business office person is still a person that serves customers an the public. A customer or patient should never be belittled or talk down to.

My mom had been in Magnolia Manor for about a year and a half. We chose this nursing home for her because her sister was already in there. In fact, they were nice enough to put my mom in the same room with her sister. The room was just basically like a two-bedroom hospital room with a shared bathroom but it was clean. The staff was very helpful but only to a point. They did have activities for them and the one that my mom liked best was the Elvis impersonator. He came in quite a bit and she enjoyed that very much. They also did their nails. They also had church services. She enjoyed that too. They did have other classes but my mom didn't go with those because she's not that type of person. I think this facility needs a little bit more aides for their patients. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this place.

My dad is currently living at Magnolia Manor. He had surgery almost two years ago that did not go well and has been either in a hospital or nursing home since. This is his second nursing home, and he came to Magnolia Manor unable to get out of bed, he had a bedsore on his back that exposed the bone, and he was in terrible spirits. Magnolia Manor is not a very attractive facility, and I don't like the smell, but they have done what the previous facility could not do: they have worked on his wound and now it is healed over completely. He feels better, gets out of bed and goes outside in his wheelchair. Overall, they have done good things for my dad, and we are very grateful.
