I visited this facility

We visited Westminster Village North. We saw both 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, and we ate lunch there. The tour was very thorough and all of our questions were answered. The staff we talked to was really good, and she even asked about my father-in-law the second time we were there, so she was very personable and knew our story. The rooms were clean, modern, and had everything you would want. We had a good dining experience there. They had white tablecloths on the table, and there were five of us there, plus the representative of Westminster, and we all had something different to eat. It was all good, and we ordered from a menu. We were able to observe the everyday coming and going of residents. They had some patios and balconies, and gardens.

Westminster Village IN North was a great place. I enjoyed seeing everything they did. We had lunch in the dining room, which was wonderful. They had pool, jigsaw puzzles, church, Bible study, and cards. It's in immaculate shape and beautiful. Everything was nice and clean.

Westminster Village is beautiful, they have single rooms above the office area, single apartments, and individual houses surrounding that part. The staff was great. It's a full-service retirement community.

Just close it please

Although this a "non profit", it is very poorly staffed. The DON is lazy and ignorant and the administrator doesn't mind if there's not enough staff to care for the residents. One of the worst places I've ever had the displeasure of consulting with. Beautiful but still not staffed.

Westminster Village was pretty awesome. They had all levels of care and even their long-term was really nice. Everything was clean and very professional. They actually had a really nice physical therapy gym, library, and movie room. Tracy, who did the tour, was very professional, very nice, and very engaging. He knew all of the residents and staff.

Westminster was very nice. The receptionist was very professional, and they had a very nice lobby. They gave me a tour of the dementia area, in which each room had a shower, and it was out of this world. There weren't any people sitting out in the hall; they were all busy doing something. It was the most outstanding of the eight homes I visited.

Westminster Village was OK. They had some nice living quarters for independent living and were close to the main building. It’s a small campus. On one side, the surrounding community is really nice, while the other side is in a bad part of town. They do most of their outreach and involvement in the community on the nicer side of the road and also encourage people to shop on the nicer side. For family and people coming to see you, you probably wouldn’t encourage them to come to the location from the north rather than the other side. They have some really nice attached homes and 1980s ranches they’ve remodeled and fixed up that were pretty nice. One plus was that they had a place where you can use your wheelchair in a small room with fewer people. They have a physical therapy room that’s bigger than in other places, but still fairly small, and an exercise room. They have really nice apartments with high-quality amenities, like marble countertops. They’re a little more expensive but have a higher percentage of refundable fees. The staff seemed more involved with the residents, but I saw that the residents were older than I am. The meals were just average, but the housing was very good. For me, though, it was not a match due to it being an older group living there.

We went to Westminster Village North, and it was a nice community. It was clean with large rooms and lots of activities. It was just a little more expensive than some of the others. They had buy-in options, and it was a little more upscale compared to other places.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I had my stepdad at Westminster Village North. It's a large facility. They cater to anything, from rehab all the way through. He was there for two years. He went through rehab from falling and injuring his hip through assisted living and memory care unit. The staff was friendly. The facility was very nice and very well kept, just a little bit more impersonal. It was really difficult to get a hold of the staff. There were so many residents for them to be working with, and to get immediate feedback was not the easiest thing. His room was very nice. It had a little kitchenette, a stove, a microwave, excellent facilities for the bathroom, living area and bedroom. It was very clean, very neat, and they had housekeeping stop in each day for tidying and laundry service. It was highly recommended in the area. It's very beautiful, and when you went into the dining room, it was like the Titanic. The facility was very well-decorated, had various rooms, and even had a little golf green outside for putting.

Westminster Village was excellent in all respects, except that they didn't have an indoor pool. The staff is excellent in all respects. They had rooms and cottages and both were very spacious. The cottages were very nicely appointed and the rooms were excellent.

I visited this facility

I visited Westminster North. It had everything. It had independent, assisted living, long-term care, and memory care. It was convenient for shopping and lots of things. I thought it was a well laid out and well planned community. They had washers and driers in their rooms in addition to the microwave and refrigerator. The staff was fine and very thoughtful.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Mom was at Westminster Village for about 6 weeks. The place is beautiful. It has just opened less than 8 months ago. As far as the room, it was the nicest that we've seen. The food was good; she liked it. They did a wonderful job on the rehab. It was just right because they would push you just to the point to where you can make progress. The staff there was really nice. They did have activities, and they had bingo and crafts. They also had a person who would come in and they sing. They had popcorn in the afternoon, and they made cookies. One thing that was really nice was that it didn't feel like a nursing home. It felt more like a luxury hotel, and it didn't smell. I would recommend it to others. They need to add just a few more staff. They could use another person per shift because, when they are dealing with people who are in rehab, they need a little more help. Depending on what stage of rehab you're in, you have to call for someone to assist you or to go the restaurant or to get into your bed, and will have to depend on them to get a shower twice a week.

I am/was a resident of this facility

We chose Westminster because it's closer to me and I'm their nearest relative. The first thing that brought us in there was the fact that it does offer all those different levels of care because my uncle has dementia so my aunt wanted to make sure that she could stay close to him. Right now, they are living in an independent apartment and it's beautiful. It's very spacious. The staff is very professional, very competent and very caring. They have a pharmacy and they have physical therapists. They have a doctor who is there every week so they can get their medical care taken care of right there. The people are in the cafeteria are extremely nice and the food is delicious. They have all kinds of activities. They've only been there about six weeks and already they've been to a jazz concert there and a Mediterranean night. We are very happy with Westminster and I would highly recommend it.

Mom and I chose Westminster Village North because of it's location, it's close to me and they also have a rehab and medical unit. I like the entire place. Their staff is great. They have registered nurses on duty. Their personality are really good, they're very caring and everybody is friendly. They have all kind of activities for the assisted living people, they have bingo, crafts and others. The food is good and their dining room is spacious and beautiful. I would definitely recommend them to others.
