I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The rooms were okay. Some of the staff were great and I thank them for being great! One of the nurses was very rude to my dad who came to visit my mom on a daily basis. I encountered an issue with one of the staff that told me to leave my moms room and I was taken aback by the way she approached me. My mom was not able to do any activities so I cannot comment on that. The major problem that I had was when we wanted to bring my mom home because she was not getting the proper care that was needed because the facility is so short staffed, when we rang the buzzer for help no one came and it would take forever and most of the time the reason for us ringing it was for them to turn the alarm off of my moms feeding pump, and the way the Social work dept. had me doing their footwork I was told that they were having a hard time getting in touch with my moms primary care doctor so that my mom could have referrals sent out to have nursing care to come into the home to help care for her. I was asked by Stephanie the social worker if I or my dad can try contacting them. I tried continuously and left messages no one returned our calls from my moms primary care office, but just to go back a little my mom had not seen her primary care doctor since December of 2021 3wks prior to my mom having a stroke. The nursing facility prior to this nursing facility told us that my mom could not see her primary care doctor because her doctors were the doctors that worked for the nursing facility, and we never really understood that but we just left it at that. Getting back to what happened prior the primary care doctors office finally returned my call on the day that my mom was being discharged. At that point the nursing facility allowed my mom to be discharged without ever sending any types of referrals out to anyone. My mom came home and the nursing home told my dad that there would be a overnight delivery with my moms feed for her G-tube as well as a feeding pump. Well needless to say there was nothing sent overnight by UPS. My mom was discharged on the 12th of May which was a Friday and on that Sunday that "overnight" delivery finally came but no feeding pump so now my mom is still not getting any kind of nutrients , so I literally called the director of the social work dept. Melanie at this facility to tell her that I was going to take further legal action because at that point I was really concerned for my mothers health. We did receive a feeding pump by that Tuesday and was able to give my mom some nutrients after 4 days of nothing. Now onto receiving help to care for mom in the home. My dad had to take care of her the best he could with the little bit of help that my sister and I could give to him because we both work full time jobs up until this day which is the 19th of June. It's been very rough on him physically as well as emotionally. I believe in my heart that this was all done intentionally by this nursing facility because of some words that were said to one of the nurses Ashley that worked on my moms wing by my dad who was very frustrated at that time because he was told that my mom was downstairs with transportation to go out for her neurosurgeons appointment, meanwhile my mom was still in her room and was not downstairs with transport, so he said "it seems as if the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing" and it ticked that nurse off and she told my dad "Don't you catch an attitude with me" which was unprofessional to say as a nurse! I was told by a nurse who worked for Northwell that my mom should have never been discharged by the nursing home without her having any type of home care lined up. My dad was just told by a nurse that the nursing facility should have never discharged my mom without having home care lined up due to moms needs. It's common sense to not discharge a patient without any type of homecare, but I have heard that common sense is not so common with some people. Best of luck to anyone who has to be placed in a Nursing facility due to short staff for care or admin that can't follow through with their job and put it on the family of the patient!

The nurses , aides, and doctors who have attended my mother for years have been the finest, kindest, professional people I could hope for. I thank them all for their very hard work and heartfelt effort.

Dad was at Hampton Center Rehab. The care that they did provide was limited and unprofessional. The rehab people weren't so bad, but the nursing and CNA staff was horrendous. He stayed in a private room. The rooms weren't ready when we got there. I had to fix the television for him. He had a leak in the ceiling that was never fixed. Their dining room looked like a cafeteria. It had a bunch of tables and chairs. They brought the food in, and the people were fed. They had a limited amount of time to eat. They do have activities, but we're not involved in those.

I am a current client of this provider

I am currently at Hampton Center – Rehab-Nursing. I picked this nursing home because it had a better reputation. Some of the food is alright, but some needs to be improved. The rooms are nice. The staff are also very nice and they were able to provide me extra help.

This is a rehab center and a long term care facility. They did their best to attend to the needs of my Mom for short term rehab. The Pt/OT department was good but the facility is not a place you want to be in for very long. The nursing care and the nutrition dept was lacking. Also patient advocacy is a must in this facility. You can not leave your loved one there without supervision from family.
