I visited this facility

The Seashore Gardens Living Center community itself was very friendly. Even the people were sometimes out in the hallway, and when you walked by, everybody greeted you. They wanted to know who you were, and they talked to us for a few minutes, so that was pretty much a very friendly place. They had some beautiful dining areas. They had a terrific area where the people met and talked. And there were a couple of TVs, a fireplace, and couches. It was very, very nice the way it was set up. Next to the lobby, they had retail stores set up, where you could buy gifts and little fun things that you wanted to bring to whoever was there that you wanted to see. A flower shop, very nice.

I visited this facility

I went to Seashore Gardens Living Center. It was immaculately clean. The residents there were very happy. It has a seashore vibe to it. It was just lovely. The only thing I didn't like personally was the long ride to get there because it was much farther from my home, but the place was wonderful. You walk in it, and you just feel happy. They took me to the memory care unit. There was a gentleman there who was conversing with us, and he was very happy. The people working with the residents were very caring. It was a beautiful place. It's kept well and I like it and it would have been my first choice except for the fact that it's far from my home. The rooms were really lovely. They had a lovely shower. They had a little kitchenette, not in memory care. But the rooms in memory care were more than adequate. They were clean. Just very beautiful. The staff were very attentive in the memory care and also in the assisted living. The patients were joyful. It was a place that was just full of joy. The building was very well-appointed.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was at Seashore Gardens Living Center for rehab, and I was pleased with the time that I spent there. One of my first observations was that the staff was courteous. They did not say, "OK, it's time to go and do this;" instead they would say, "Would you like to do this?" and that courteousness was shown in all that they did. I received physical therapy and occupational therapy, and I left there feeling that I was in better shape than when I went in. Also, their social services people were helping me to get additional aid at home for home care and possibly get Medicaid. I was there for two weeks and in the first two weeks, we were in the quarantine service. The room was good, and they're very particular about cleaning and taking care of things. The food wasn't the best, but it was good. The grounds were nice at all times. Occasionally, I would have a service to take me outside to do therapy if the weather was nice. It's a lovely place. They have an area called the boardwalk, which has been closed for a while because of the pandemic, and it's a place where you can get some takeout food. There's also a gift shop and a park with an aviary. At one point, I heard somebody playing the piano, and a bunch of people were getting together for that. So, it was lovely. The therapist would come in and play games with you while they were doing the therapy, but as far as things to do in between therapy sessions, there was pretty much just a television and whatever you bring with you, like a book or something like that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Seashore Gardens Living Center is very nice and clean, and most of the staff is really good. My only criticism is the food, there's not enough of it and it's boring; I wouldn't eat it. If food is an issue for someone, I wouldn't want to go there. They say the patients can always request something else if they don't like what's being served, but a lot of the residents are impaired mentally and can't speak for themselves. They always keep it so nice and clean inside, I would have rated them a perfect score if the food is better. I would say that the aide Shantay, and the nurse George are very helpful. In terms of value for the money, you get what you pay for. It's more expensive than other places but it's also so much nicer than other places.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mother was a resident for 4 years at Seashore Gardens. She had excellent care while she was there. The facility was always spotless and pleasant to be in. We never worried when we had to leave her because we always knew she would be taken care of. There were also plenty of activities and events for mom to go to. She made good friends while she was there.

My father was at Seashore Gardens in long term care for 3 years. Staff was very helpful, especially towards the end. It was reassuring for us and my mother to know he was being taken care of.

I visited this facility

Seashore Gardens was excellent, the people were very nice, and the prices can be a little high for my friend. The rooms were clean and adequately sized. If he could afford that place, he would be highly recommended to go there. I was well received there.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad and his wife used to stay at the Seashore Gardens. It was big and beautiful. However, they just let them stay in their wheelchair and were not able to do more. They should be allowed to walk around. The staff was good and friendly. The rooms that I saw were more like hospital rooms. The food was strictly kosher because it was run by Jewish. They had lots of activities. They had an area which was like a boardwalk. They had parties and entertainment. I would recommend it to others.

I am a past client of this provider

My wife stayed at Seashore Gardens before she passed. The place was very nice, very new, and the nurses there very caring. I spent 12 hours every day with my wife, and they liked that I was there. The rooms were large and could accommodate two people. There were doctors available. My wife got all the attention that she needed.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I have visited more than one person who has resided here. I have also visited other local places, and this one ranks with the best. I probably should have given 5-stars, but I'm being a little stingy with the stars because there is always room for improvement. My main criteria for this type of place is the "smell test". When I walk into any type of institutional setting, but especially one where care is given to senior citizens, the 1st thing that I notice are the smells. Sea Shore Gardens passed that test with flying colors. Even-though it was around Dinner time when I last visited, there were no unpleasant aromas, really no odors at all, which is just how I like it! Everyone that I have visited at Seashore Gardens has been cared-for respectfully and appropriately from what I observed. The nurses are compassionate with family members as well. All-around an excellent environment for loved-ones and family who need the extra help.

My 94 year old grandmother who had dimension stayed there before she died. They took such good care of her doing her hair. the place was like a country club. ice cream stand , snack bar, outdoor minature golf for the kids when visiting. she would sit with us a nd listen to old records and clap her hands and sing. what a wonderfull place to be. The residents who could take care of them selves where watcjing tv in the lounge that look like home. It was great. i cant recomend it highly enough. same nurses each day. what a family.
