My mother was at The Waters of Gallatin. I did not eat there, but I visited with my mother during meals and what I saw and what I could smell, the food was wonderful. The staff all seemed to do their job properly. There's a gathering room. The only drawback is it was a little bit run down, a little bit beat up, but I can't say anything bad about the people there. I didn't go to the dining area. Mom stayed in her room, and I visited her every day. There were people constantly checking on her and physical therapy and occupational therapy. They were all wonderful. I walked Mom around the place in the wheelchair and there were quite a few patients there that she pretty much could not communicate with. Mom was always so angry and didn't want to be there. For the atmosphere, The Waters was not too good, but the care was where it should be. She was there for rehab because her body was very weak because of a lack of activity. The rooms were kind of beat up and rough. The activities there were the same as all the other facilities. Everything is available for the patient if they choose to participate. There's television. There was a big room for everybody to go congregate. There were games. They're OK with family members coming in the morning and signing the patient out for the day, to go out to a park or out to a restaurant. They did their job. The people that had to work with Mom did their job sufficiently.

We had a great experience. The staff makes this facility. They are professional but also very caring and compassionate. They went above and beyond . I could not have been more pleased with the care my mother received at the end of her life. I wouldn’t hesitate to have a another family member stay at The Waters.

My mother in law was a resident here. She was treated with great respect. The staff doted on her and we could not be more appreciative. I see the negative reviews, but our extended stay was nothing but wonderful.

Is 0 stars an option!! This place is awful! The. head of nursing, Kimberly,is a real joke, she does NOT care for the well being of her residents!! My grandfather was in there for a month and he was given multiple wrong medications and wrong doses, and medications were left off. Kimberly did not seem to care or address the issue until, us the family pushed it. Then we found my grandfather with multiple injuries that no one knew about including a head injury. Head of nursing, Kimberly, did not even bother to come back in and check on him and was very annoyed that we kept calling to check on him. Kimberly ignores calls and refuses to talk to family! As well as they just let him sit in bed and do not get him for therapy and do not help him to bathroom or keep with personal hygiene.

Please never send you loved ones to this facility if at all possible. It is not clean; the patients are ignored. Nursing does not know what is going on with the patients. They do not chart anything, do not document falls, medicines are incorrect or not given at all, they do not return calls, food is cold, patients are allowed to lay in their filth for long periods of time. I could go on and on, but I only have so much space to write, this facility should be closed down and be on The State's watch list

The rooms are essentially the standard rooms/beds you would see in a nursing facility. It's an older facility, but don't let that deter you. Sometimes age has nothing to do with it. It's an average building. It could use some updating, but it's clean. My mother is a current resident at the Waters of Gallatin. When you walk in, it's tidy and does not smell. Granted a few hallways may smell slightly because some patients are completely bedridden, but the nursing staff clean that up very quickly. I absolutely love the nursing staff at this facility! They are so wonderful to my mother and are taking such good care of her. My mother is content there and has made a lot of friends. She thanks me daily for putting her in there. In addition to many health issues, my mother was a high fall risk and would do serious damage with each fall, so I know she finally feels safe. She is a long term resident so she will be in there until the end of her life. They have different activities like bingo and yoga for the staff. They do all they can to accommodate the residents and try to find ways to help them feel at home by evaluating their interests. I was worried my mom may not like it here, but she loves it. She's been sharing stories with me and I love to hear the happiness in her voice again. It's not fancy, but who needs fancy when you have amazing people who really do care about the person and their health! I highly recommend.
