I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has been a resident here for over two years. The staff is amazing at caring for the residents, going out of their way to be kind and helpful.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I went to visit a friend at Park Vista Health Center. She is recuperating from a broken hip. It's a lovely facility, but I hate computers, and I think they should just have people signed in. They have everything that I have noticed other facilities are having. The staff members are very helpful. Her room looks clean, and she seems comfortable. I didn't see a dining room, but there must be one. She's not able to get out of bed as far as the broken hip is concerned. I did notice some kind of physical therapy going on. The facility is very well maintained. I haven't had a meal and she doesn't have an appetite, but it looked good. There's a library to the left of the front desk. She seems to be doing well. The other reason I noticed that it might be a good idea to just have people signed in (and I realize with Covid they have to take your temp) is because her son has epileptic seizures and he was with me, and it takes him forever to use the computer to put his name and phone number and so forth. They helped, which was very kind of them. I also noticed a gentleman that had probably come to see a friend or a relative (he's about my age and I'm 80), so sometimes it would be better if they could speed things up, so people don't have to stand there.

Provider Response

Kathryn, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad to hear that you are happy with our care, staff, and facility. As far as the screening process, we have implemented several measures at Park Vista to maintain our infection control practices and maintain the safety of our residents, guests and staff. We strive to follow CDC guidance and recommendations from state and local health officials, which includes a mandatory health screening and check-in process for each visitor. Our staff does all they can to assist with technical difficulties and provide support of any kind, which I am glad they were able to assist you with. As always the comfort and safety of our residents and guests is always our number one priority. Thank you again for the review, from the team at Park Vista.
