I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
I'm very happy with Woodview. They have an excellent activity director who keeps them as busy as she possibly can. My sister-in-law's studio is very nice and spacious enough for her. Their menu is pretty varied, and they have two menus that they can choose from -- one for specials for each meal and a restaurant-type menu with other things they can choose from if they don't like what the daily menu is -- so they have a lot of choices. The food is good, and they try to accommodate what everybody wants. One of the main things I like is that they can transition from assisted living, to memory care, to nursing home, more or less in the same building, so they have all three in the same area.

I visited this facility
The people at Woodview were very helpful and very friendly. It had an apartment atmosphere with long halls and a lot of doors, so it felt more like an apartment building. The residents seemed to be happy.

I visited this facility
They gave us a tour of two different style of rooms, a studio style room and one bedroom apartment. The rooms seemed well kept and up to date. The staff I was in contact with was very friendly but almost too friendly. It was almost to the point where I wasn't sure if I would trust them to care for my grandfather. I felt as though they would be better friends than a careful staff. However, I only say that was an initial feeling. We had lunch there as well and the food was not too bad. It certainly did not spark any mind blowing emotions but it was clearly fresh and prepared in a careful manner. One impressive feeling I had was how the staff seemed very personable to the people staying there. They were all on a first name basis with everyone I saw and they had routines down very nicely.

Friend or relative of resident
Before my grandmother passed away she was living at the Woodview Assisted Living Community. We visited her many times a month and the facility was so nice and clean. We always enjoyed visiting her because there was so much to do. They had many activities for the residents and their families to do. Some assisted living communities have great activities for the residents only; however they would allow children and grandchildren to join in on the fun which was important to my grandmother. I also noticed that it made the other residents that did not have children or did not see their children feel really happy to see new people and in most cases, children. We never had a problem with the community and we would recommend it again and again.
