My husband was in Fox Run Manor for about 3 months. Their marketing is excellent because they like to get you in there, but once your rehab money runs out, they are not all as attentive. Extremely expensive, it is a fairly new nice facility ,and there is no memory care unit. They accept memory care patients but they can wander all over. My husband got out of the door there, and he also fell multiple times. What put him in the hospital the last time was that he got outside and hit his head, and when he got there we found out that he had fallen before. The meals were probably the worst of any. They just basically opened up Gordon food products and heat them up. There were very minimal servings and very little home cooking. They had a nice therapy room, but they cut their therapy sessions short because they do all their charting on their patients’ therapy time. They have a nice small chapel and a nice big activities room that can be rented out if you want to have a family dinner or something like that. They have nice little lounges for the residents if they want to watch a bigger screen TV. They also have a nice activities director who tries to get the residents involved, but she is very limited because there’s only one of her and it is quite a large facility. They have a hair salon and a barber that comes in once a month. My husband had multiple falls there. He had some excellent nurses, and he had some terrible nurses. He had some excellent aides, and he had some terrible aides. At Christmas time, they have businesses that decorate trees and put it in their expansive lobby, and then they are auctioned off. The money goes towards some charity in the area, and that is always pleasant for the residents. It is a lovely facility, but I am not sure that the care and attention is there. They are very highly overpriced. They are full in their permanent long term wing, so if you come in and want a long-term room, you are put in the rehab wing but you are charged at the rehab rate until you are actually moved off that floor. However they still charge you at that time like you are a long-term resident, so you pay for all your hygiene needs, your medicine, the distribution of the medicine, and for every depends you might use. We had astronomical bills, but I kept my husband there because of our insurance compatibility and because some of the other nursing homes in the area are very tired old nursing homes that are not always the cleanest. They always got the laundry mixed up;,even though I was doing his laundry I found crazy things in his drawers. I didn’t think that it was the best place for him and yet I kept him there because it was close to home.

I was completely BLOWN AWAY with how nice this place is. I live out in California and my Mom was placed here before I had a chance to go see it. After visiting a few months ago I walked away with with a deep sense of gratitude that my Mom had found a place so high-end and beautiful secretly matched with a strong desire that I may end up at a place so nice when I get older. It would appear that they spared no expense when they built the facility. It has beautiful architecture, an indoor promenade with a chapel, coffee shop, and salon (facades and everything!), warm inviting super-wide hallways, living and social areas seemingly around every other corner tastefully decorated like a nice home... I can go on and on... My Mom's large semi-private room has an indoor bird aviary right outside her door. So beautiful. From what I can tell the staff live up to the quality of the facility. I got to meet most of the people that take care of my Mom and was impressed and relieved. I couldn't recommend this place higher. Go check it out!!
