I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a resident there very briefly. LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!!!! The facility looks great. Is clean. But the staff -1 are horrible. They let my mother lay in her own filth over night. I only found out when my mother told me. I wanted to handle the issue but my mother begged me not to, because it would make it “harder” on her. Then the day my mother was readmitted to the hospital, VG drew labs on her at 710am. The labs were resulted at 110am. Her labs were so bad that it warranted an emergency visit to the hospital. VG waited until 230pm to notify anyone. They didn’t send her to the hospital until 345pm. I live in Wilmington and beat my mother to the emergency room. I called VG and asked to speak with the DON. Instead a very rude and indignant nursing supervisor called me. Let’s just say our conversation wasn’t pleasant. EVERYONE at this place needs to be dismissed. Poor staff with little to no patience for the residents. Along with ignoring the call bell of residents who need assistance. It’s no wonder they have such a bad reputation.

My grandmother has been at Village Greem. I like the fact that it's a skilled facility, so they have on-deck equipment that allows the person there to be able to be treated and to be checked for most everything without them having to go to a hospital. The dining facility and the food are great. The staff is all wonderful. They have great attitudes and they're very professional. I would recommend it to anybody.

Worst facility in Fayetteville., NC. They lost my mother's dentures the 1st day she was there and refused to take her to an appointment to get a new pair. She also sat in dirty diapers bed bound for hours at a time.

We really didn't have a lot of problems prior to Coivd. The worst thing was my dad not having his clothes, every week he was wearing clothing that is not his. Vivid started and I seen my dad last week. All I could do was cry. He has no muscles tone. Is now unable to stand on his own. It is like he is left in the bed to waste away. When. I did see him he was wearing shorts. My dad has never done that unless he was swimming. The staff apparently are very disrespectful now. I wouldn't put my dog in this nursing home. As soon as I am able to.move him to another nursing home I will. The room are 2 person. TV are out dated. My dad's bathroom was clogged and stayed that away for 2 days. I have asked for PT. Several times and it does not happen.

I visited this facility

My father laid helpless with broken femur, hour after hour in wet clothes as nurses ignored his buzzer. This went on for two months. We took his laundry home and washed it as VG did it so seldom that his room reeked. They served his food covered in plastic, and being nearly blind, he couldn’t remove it. The TV was too small and far away for him to view, his wheelchair too small, room always dark, courtyard locked and no accessible outdoor areas for enjoying fresh air. Other patients called out to me as I walked down hallway, asking me to get the nurse or an aide. The call button at the nurses station chimed for hours on end with no one at the nurses station to answer or turn it off. I was told to complain to or ask assistance of the social worker, but she almost never answered her phone or returned calls. None of my complaints were ever addressed.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My father was there, and needs assistance getting out of bed and be turned every 2 hours. Days would go by where he had no bath, never left the bed, and was never turned. 0% chance I'd recommend. If your loved one needs help getting in and out of bed. DO NOT GO HERE.
