Aug 3 will be the 3 year anniversary of my Mothers death. She was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer, had been going to Pluta, then we were told she was ready for hospice. They did absolutely nothing to assist us neither did the hospital, all the hospital said was "she was not admitted and we had to get her out or they would start charging us”. Then Crest Manor accepted her, why , because she had the money to pay for the 2-3 months she would survive. Within a month the Crest Manor’s notary and family members had my mother’s will and life insurance policy changed! The staff knew, they used my mothers room mate as a witness. My sister and I were told the day the funeral home picked up my mother from Crest Manor. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: nursing homes are not there to take care of your loved ones, they are there to take their money! Going on 3 years and it still haunts me.

We are in Crest Manor. It is really nice. The staff is good, but the rooms are really small. You share a bath with 4 people. The activities are great, and the food is great.

My mom and dad were at Crest Manor as rehab patients. They were there off-and-on for rehab. I wouldn't want to be there. Dealing with them was easy. They're nice people and all, but it's just not a place where I'd want to be because there are a lot of people sitting in the hallways, and it smelled like a nursing home. To me, it's not a place where I want to live. They have exercises, OT and PT, and they have meals, but you can either eat in your room, on your floor, or down on the main dining room. It's like staying in a hospital room. My mother had her room to herself, but she felt very isolated. It's not conducive to what they're charging a month. They charge $12,000 for somebody to stay there. The furniture they gave my dad was falling apart. The doors and drawers didn't open. It was very unfriendly. I know they can't put carpeting in all of the areas, but there's no carpeting in any of the areas. It feels cold. The rooms were not bright and happy.

My mother went to Crest Manor for rehab, she had a fractured pelvis. It was not our first choice from the hospital, but boy am I glad she went there. I can't say enough good things about this place. The therapists that worked with her, and the staff that is employed there, are just wonderful. I had no worries leaving my mother there. She is an 88 year old, who has dementia. I would recommend this place to anyone for any type of rehab, long or short term elderly care. My mother enjoyed the staff and the residence. The care was excellent. The place is clean, staff is caring and they have activities that just about everyone can take part in. Thank you staff of Crest Manor for the excellent care. Friedman family

My dad was with Crest Manor for about 8 weeks. It was a very clean center. The staff was lovely. My only objection was that mentally, there weren't enough peers of my father to be able to keep him mentally stimulated. Most of the people there have greater needs than he did. He had broken his neck and he needed physical therapy and occupational therapy. A lot of the people there had strokes and could not interact with him. After being with Crest Manor, he was able to function on his own again.
