I can't tell you enough of how horrible this facility is. My mother chose to live in the assisted living section first, which was "ok". Her health declined a year later and was moved to the skilled side even though I didn't like it, she insisted on not leaving. She would NOT let me move her since she was in frame mind. The decor was old, dirty, dark and not what she was used to. The staff was never 100%, but it was one nurse for 30 people. All they did was pass out medicines. The aides kept quitting as well and many were lazy, and I would complain ALL the time. She would be in her room for hours. They have no activities, although they had BINGO which she would like to go to. Food was bad, she would order food for delivery, along with Krogers for fresh items since I got her a mini fridge. She passed away 3 months ago, way too soon if she only had better care all along. She didn't even "look" the same and aged about 15 years in about a year's time. I have reported the home to the State of Ohio for the lack of care. I spent all my waking hours caring for her the last week of her life. 2022 was the worst year of her and my life. She didn't pass away with dignity, and I blame them.

Majestic Care of Fairfield had a very high turnover in personnel, which meant that you didn't have any consistency in trying to see the same person. In my understanding, they didn't have a doctor on site. They mostly had what were called nurse practitioners that did all the visitations and I never was able to get in touch with one or have a meeting with one. So, they need to improve on consistency. I had a meeting with them when my sister first went there with all the department heads that were going to be involved with her care, but the care that we talked about was not the care that she received. I used to go and sit with her at least three or four times a week and they said somebody comes in once an hour to see if she needs to be changed and if she needs anything, and I know firsthand that that was not true. They were shorthanded. There was no continuity of care as what was described when I first met with them. The lady that was in the room with my sister was the one that would call someone if anything went wrong with my sister since my sister couldn't do it and they weren't checking on her as often as they should.

If you love your family member don't put them in this Skilled Nursing facility. It is absolutely horrible. My mom was moved from the Assisted Living side (I highly recommend this facility) to the nursing home side when she fractured her ankle. They never cleaned her wounds. The room was not even clean when she moved in. My family spoke with the entire nursing home leadership and nothing ever changed. Stay away from this "Skilled Nursing" facility. There is nothing skilled about the services they claim to provide. They left my mom in her bed every day. There were not enough aides on the floor and the nurses refused to do anything other than give medicine. It did not appear her surgery wounds were ever checked. I know her wounds were never cleaned and the bandages were never changed for the two months she was there.

I want everyone to know that the SKILLED NURSING facility at Majestic Care of Fairfield is TERRIBLE. I know a lady that was there after having surgery. The phone was broken, so she couldn't call anyone and no one could call her. Even after the family told the nurses several times that she needed to be able to call her family, it was NEVER fixed. At 85, she was confused. After being there less than a week, she fell. Instead of putting a bed alarm on the bed (because they don't have them!), they put a sign on her walker for her to use the call button if she needed to go to the bathroom or stand. Her tv was broken, so they brought her another one. They didn't set it up for her. Her nephew had to fix it. She got COVID, so she had to be isolated, no visitors. When the family tried to call and ask about her, they couldn't even get through to the nurses! Their doctor came in to see her, but no family members were involved or even consulted. They were told she would be there at least 4-6 weeks! Her family had to ask her doctor to push for her release. The SKILLED NURSING should be shut down or rehabilitated. No family member should be subjected to this type of mistreatment.

My mom has moved into Majestic Care of Fairfield. They made it easy to get her into her room. It's a very clean facility, and the people are just great. They're just really great as far as helping her. They went above what they had to do getting her into her room and getting it set up and everything. Her room is very nice and very clean. She has a roommate and the roommate seems very, very nice. My mom is eating, so I imagine she likes the food. They feed her very well. It's a beautiful facility. So far, the value for money is very good. They pay for her phone and they pay for her cable.

My mother was sent there from a hospital stay for rehab. It was the most awful place! It should be shut down! They said they didn't know my mom was coming but later we found out that was not the case. They put her in a room, the very last room in the building. There was no covering over the light over her door so you couldn't see from the hallway if she needed anything. There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom and one of the bars was loose, if she grabbed it it would have come out. The bed was messed up and no one knew how to fix it. All of the furniture was so old and ripped up. She had a TV and then there was a TV that didn't work they had put in there to be thrown out. There were no pictures on the wall the floor was old and dinghy. It was a very depressing place. There was rust in the toilet. There was absolutely no way my brother and I were going to leave our mom there. They were understaffed for the unit and a couple of the aids didn't really seem to care. If we had not been there she wouldn't have been taken care of. I felt so sorry for the other people that were stuck there. I wouldn't send my absolute worst enemy to that place!

First our Mother was admitted there, mainly because her doctor would visit there. But we came to love the place. They treated our Mother like she was there grandma too. She was on the alzihiemer unit. They were very caring, lots of activities, extra snacks at night and the staff would buy her a Pepsi out of there pocket when she ran out. There were very attentive to her skin needs and would call me immediately to let me know if she needed anything. Mother loved Elvis and they had an impersonator who came in regularly and she would dance and dance. We loved the center so much, when our Father was diagnosed with the same thing, we admitted him there too. He was a very grumpy fellow at home, but there, he was very happy and satisfied. Lots of attention. Regular nurse meetings to go over their care and what they needed. We were very pleased, and would highly recommend you visit the center for your loved one. Mother lived there for about 5 years and Father for about a year. They both passed away at the center. The staffed stayed right with us and helped us with attaining a Catholic priest for last rights. I had no idea my Father was Catholic. He never told me. I even helped out at the center and took in goodies to share. At Christmas time, they always made sure everyone got a gift, especially if they had no family. We were very satisfied with their care.
