At first, I didn't like Devon Manor, but after I complained, it was fine. Some of the staff members were good, and some weren't; that was part of my complaint. The grounds are nice, well-kept, and well-groomed. The staff was nice enough. The rooms were "meh." It was nice but nothing special, and they could use a remodel. My mom was happy with the food, and she actually really liked it. The dining room needs improvement, but it was nice enough.

Devon Manor was very good and had nice rooms. The staff members were all very nice. My husband was there for rehab, and he ate in his room. The location was fine, and security was very good. They need to respond to the call bell a little quicker.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. First, my daughter is only 20 years old. She was transferred here by Penn Presbyterian. She was attacked by a pit bull and has severe, horrific wounds to her legs. These wounds are so deep that they can not be stitched together. They require wound vacs and will eventually need skin grafts. When my daughter arrived, she was left in her wheelchair for almost 2 hours. When the nurse and nurse's aide came in they were rude to my daughter and demanded to know why she did not get into the bed on her own. My daughter informed them that she can not walk and the aide laughed at her. When my daughter confronted the aide about why she was laughing, the aide ran out of the room. The nursing staff claimed to have experience with wounds of this magnitude, but when they unwrapped my daughter's legs, they called in multiple members of the nursing team to look at the wounds and to "assist". They didn't have any of the supplies present that they needed to change my daughter's dressings. They had to keep leaving and coming back into the room with additional supplies creating an non sterile environment. They then didn't wrap the wounds appropriately and the bandages kept falling off exposing her open wounds and increasing her chance of infection. When I informed them that I would be transferring my daughter out of their facility, they became even more rude. They refused to wipe my daughter after she was on the bedside commode and threatened to put her into a diaper. Then they refused to wash her up or assist her with brushing her teeth. Later that evening after she was transferred, I washed her up and found that there was feces in her pants and it took 9 wipes to appropriately clean her vagina and rear end. She smelled horrid after sitting in that for more than 7 hours. I'm appalled at the rudeness and lack of professionalism of this institution. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

I was not impressed with the lack of cleanliness. The staff was not active. The room was decorated like a bad ER room. The rep kept apologizing. I think corporate cut staff and other areas. Outside many light features were broken. Poor poor poor.a

the nurses are overworked and management is worse, disappearing for hours in meetings. Residents lay in bed for hours. Nurses are fairly new, young & inexperienced. Dont recognize signs of trouble or distress, just get the work done and leave. I'm a nurse and pulled my dad out of here 2 days later.

This place is abysmal at best. It is dirty and there were ants in the room. There are no side rails on the beds and they really don't watch patients at all. My mom was screaming for the nurses and pressing the call button and no one came for over thirty minutes. They are rude and curt with family and patients. I would not send my worst enemy to this facility. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY
