I do not write many reviews, but I have to share this review with everyone that will listen. I love God, my family and the staff at Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill! Here's the short version of my story. My mother had surgery a little over a year ago that has left her needing total care and unable to walk, and has since been fighting infections that has prevented her from rehabilitating after her surgery. I moved her from one facility to another, and finally to Signature because I felt that the care my mother received at other facilities, made her condition worse. At the other two facilities, my mother developed a huge stage 4 decubitus ulcer which prevented her from full rehabilitation and was hospice eligible. Add failing nutrition to her condition, her life expectancy was diminished to one year. But, then God! As a woman of faith, I believe that God uses God-fearing, loving, kind, professional, and educated people with a vision, to accomplish His will. So, I decided to move my mother - once again, with heartfelt prayers and tears to Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill to give my mother a better chance at recovery. Why Signature? Because I believed in the Administrator and her leadership vision. I also believed that she would allow God to use her to lead the charge of providing necessary care for my mother's recovery, and would do the same for any other resident that comes to Signature without reservation or hesitation. The Administrator hired a wonderful Medical Director, and an amazing Director of Nursing. Paired with support staff that provides one-on-one courtesy calls and excellent family services, a Chaplain that believes in the power of prayer, a caring support/ administrative staff, a fabulous rehabilitation therapy team, skilled wound care specialists, CNAs that provide optimum cleanliness and care, and an experienced LPN/RN nursing team, my fears have been calmed. Together, they all provide comprehensive, exemplary care for my mother. If there's something out of whack, they'll fix it right away! Although my journey as a family member has not been without fear, restlessness, reservation, frustration, and pain at the thought of losing my Mom due to substandard care or an oversight as she crawls through this post-surgery journey, I am comforted knowing that she's at Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill and would not want her anywhere else. When my Mom smiles, my world is alright. She is my hero. My Mom is happy, she's getting stronger, and was finally able to move her legs for the first time last month, in over a year! Her wound has shrunk in size, her core is getting stronger, her nutrition has drastically improved and she's talking like never before! Praises be to God! Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! You've given me peace as I walk through this journey with my mother. I only have one, and I believe she's deserving of only the best care. THANK YOU Signature for all that you do! Posting with sincere gratitude. I'm forever grateful. Many, many thanks to you all.

I think Signature Health Care Chapel Hill is very good. Mother is happy with it, so I’m also happy. It’s clean and has good physical therapy. I’m very satisfied with the staff. They’re very friendly, informative, kind, and they work very well together. The rooms are very clean.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My mom had a fall in the senior home and broke her hip and she's now staying at Chapel Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for rehab. I like that they have skilled nurses on site and they have physical and occupational therapy available for my mother during her recovery period. They have a staff member to help her eat and the food is okay. I think she's well taken care of. The facility is nice and clean, but it's a bit old and they could use a little remodeling to make it more bright and modern.

I visited this facility
I visit the Chapel Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina pretty frequently. I have a cousin, lots of people from my Church, and some other friends that are there now. When I go everyone seems to be very pleased with their care. I took my mother there to visit our cousin and our friends after her birthday outing in May, and we both had a great time that day. My cousin was in one of the activity rooms where they had a young student from the University of North Carolina there playing a guitar and singing songs. I think I had more fun than the residents and my mom. I always go around to visit the people that I know who are in of their rooms because of their disabilities, or whatever reason, and every one has a cheery attitude. The staff seems to be really nice and friendly. I have questioned my mother about where she would like to go when and if the time comes that she is no longer able to stay at home. She informed that she wants to go to the Chapel Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. So I guess that says a lot about how she feels about the Center. Of course I will definitely meet with the Facility Administrators and staff before I would make a decision on an admissions.
