I am/was a resident of this facility
I spent a couple of months in Park Regency in their skilled nursing unit recovering from a broken hip. I found them to be an excellent place. They cater to two different types of people staying there, one is what I called an outpatient temporary patients like myself, short-term, and the other one is long-term people who are renting there. It was a very good facility. It was run rather very well. They have a very knowledgeable staff who treated me very nicely. I have nothing but good things to say about that place.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
After his stroke, I placed my father in Park Regency. Placing him there was a hard decision to make, what is they don't give the care that he deserves? But I need not have worried. It is a very clean institute; it is abundant with many plants and a nice staff, it is obvious that much care is put in by the staff to make it look so. In fact, I find it hard to believe that I'm in Arizona whenever I go there. I visit once a week and I must say I am both pleased and comfortable with the fact that my dad is a resident there. The only reason I don't consider it perfect is because I have heard whispers by some that some employees are cruel to the patients. However, I personally have never had any experiences such as this, so perhaps the person(s) responsible with these complains have been fired and rightfully so. In the two years my Father has been in the park, I have had no problem with anyone and have had nothing but amazing experiences with Park Regency.

I visited this facility
Another on a long list of facilities for my father, who was diagnosed with a lung disease was Park Regency. Both my sister and I toured at least twenty if not more facilities at a nice, even space between her home and mine (we live about 65 miles apart).
Nice building. Kind of looks like a hospital, only modernized, but other aspects of it were wholly different and would never make you think ""hospital"". One of these was the outdoor patio area. Not just any old patio, but a huge seating area with tables and a covered roof but open to the outside, fans throughout and tons of plants and foliage.
Very nice setting. A place I could easily picture my father hanging out and either writing a short story or editing an article or working on his next charcoal piece. An artist and writer, my father lived for the outdoor lifestyle. His inspiration always came from his independent ""free-style"" way of living.
Park Regency, I learned while visiting, utilizes the ""Optimum Life"" approach, which fully includes family. I'd heard about this at another facility I visited and I remember liking everything about it then too.
A super kind and easy-going tour guide showed us everything we wanted to see and more. I noticed a lot of residents. She said hello to every single one of them and every single one of them said hi back including mentioning her name. That can't be anything but a good sign.
I also got the distinct impression here that staff does not treat people like they're ""old"" or ""sick"" or ""needing assistance"". They treat them like you or I would treat our own neighbor and if that neighbor happens to need help, we provide it, no questions asked.
A very nicely run facility! Worth a visit.

My grandmother has lived at Park Regency for the last 10 years. The staff are professional and courteous, and always make sure that concerns are addressed quickly. The last time there was a problem (the regularly scheduled cleaning wasn't done very well), they had it fixed within hours. My grandmother enjoys their exercise activities very much, and Park Regency has always done a good job of making sure that they include as many residents as possible! I definitely recommend it.
