Terrible staffing and care. Had to move my grandmother. Smelt bad , wouldn’t help change pull-ups like should. Wouldn’t offer to shower her. Was ok just leaving her in bed 24/7. Developed bad bed sore.

Very short staffed, meals are not healthy, limited interaction between staff/resident, personal hygiene care is very limited due to being understaffed. Would NOT recommend.

My mother recently completed rehab at Pisgah Manor. The care she received was excellent! We are so grateful for all the staff. The facility and her room were clean and we found all of the staff to be very helpful. We are so glad that mom got the therapy she needed and is now back home. We highly recommend this facility.

I stayed at this facility for short term rehab services. The staff were extremely kind throughout my stay. The food was great and I gained some much needed weight back. I would give the facility more than 5 stars if possible!

My mother was recently in the rehab facility and received excellent care. She reported that the food was delicious and she actually gained some good weight! We greatly appreciate all of the nurses, aides, housekeepers, therapist, and other staff that are working so hard. They made the stay very pleasant and helped my mother to be able to return home. Her private room was clean and spacious. We love the dining room, courtyards, and the therapy gym.

The lack of care, given to my Mom, our family, during and now after I removed Mom from this facility has been a shocker. My Mom's condition when she was there went downhill quick. From being ignored, lied to, subjected to the infighting of the Nursing staff, My Mom would sit in her wheelchair for 10 hours forming presure sores on her bottom, and edema blisters on her swollen legs . She swelled up in arms, feet legs and hands with hardly a concern. Her Foley leaked and her swollen feet sat in her urine for over two hours as I continued to ask for help. The shift change into the evening was a time of real concern and later nI would find out fear that my Mom felt. She would be ignored laughed at, and her call Bell if within reach would be ignored. She was rushed back to the hospital after a Critical lab that obviously was not being monitored as it should be or her declining even noticed with a Hemoglobin of 4.1. The response of the medical team that saw my Mom was telling. One Doctor even said shame, what a shame. I saw neglect, not only to my Mom but to others . My Mom is no longer at this facility.I am only trying to give a voice to those still there and for those that may be considering.Avoid Avoid, Avoid!

I was looking for placement for my mother and showed up at this facility unannounced. Everyone was very friendly and I received an excellent tour. The building looks like new. It smelled great and the people there seem happy.

Pisgah Estate looked good. That particular estate I looked at was about 1,000 to 1,200 square feet, and they were all individual units. They were independent living, and they also had assisted living; you could move from one to another. Then they also had a full nursing home. However, I only looked at the independent living, and I thought it was excellent. It was a very clean, very orderly, and very nice community. It was set up primarily for totally independent, and they had their own meals, but they were also welcome to their nursing home and take meals from their cafeteria for a fee. They also had access to the recreational center including the pool, treadmills, and aerobics.
