Reviews of Deaton Medical Center

I am a friend or relative of a resident
The staff was very nice and accomadating. They took the time to talk to us(the family), get to know us on a personal level, and make sure we understood everything and answer any questions. The doctors were very busy, and although they were good, it was hard to spend any time with a doctor, the majority of any clinical conversations were with nurses only. The facility was in a good location with an easy to park area. Several times, we had a young child with us to visit, and the nurses went above and beyond to make the child feel comfortable, as this was a hospital type amosphere and could be very scary and intimidating, and even "played" with her, drawing pictures and telling stories, so that we could freely speak and not have to speak in code, which you have to do so often with children around, especially when discussing a terminal medical condition of a loved one. I would have preferred the visiting hours to be a little longer and more flexible, but I do understand that som patients' conditions are worse than others, and that all visitors must be considerate of all the patients', not just the one they are going to visit. Overall, I was pleased with this facility and the care they provided my family and my loved one.
