Taylor is all of the words you associate with someone who is being nominated for this Caring.com recognition award: she is caring, compassionate, competent, kind, and friendly, a great co-worker, dependable, respectful, and generally wonderful. She is a care partner for a population of individuals who are all cognitively impaired (eg Alzheimer’s dementia). She does her job in a masterfully and gracefully and excellently.

Caregiver's Best Skills and Attributes:

While Taylor is trained and very skilled at the technical aspects of care giving, she also has the “un-train-able” skill of being able to connect with people with dementia. She is so respectful in her redirecting approach but what separates her from most is the clever way in which she can develop solutions to issues. She absolutely appreciates that the residents are her highest priority. Taylor’s approach to care giving is very person centered. She views each resident as an individual with unique needs and wants—and then she implements solutions based on the individual person.
