I am at Cherrywood Village and I am very happy here. They keep the place spotless. The facilities are kept up very nicely. They're adding elevators right now so that we have two elevators in each one of our high-rise buildings. We practice the Fish Philosophy, which is taking care of each other. So, the staff takes care of us and we take care of them. I have a one-bedroom and it has plenty of room. Even the studio apartments are adequate. We get three meals a day and they are very good. We have a rotation every five weeks. So, the menus that we have are different for the five-week period. We're back to having excursions now every Wednesday. That includes going to the theater, to the grocery shopping two days a week, or to medical appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with free transportation). We have a concierge, a theater, a beauty shop, and nail care. There's something going on all the time. There's bingo nights, all kinds of card playing all the time, and a book club.

My mother has been at Cherrywood Village. It seems to increase their longevity for the people that are there because they give them a reason to live. Everything was going really great, of course, until COVID hit, and then that was a whole another kettle of fish. However, they've done a great job of keeping the disease at bay. They've had a few cases at the assisted living, but that's about it, and they have like 400 units. They've done a good job. They keep the family and the residents all updated on what's going on. There's good communication. The facility is unbelievable. They have their own theater, their own ice cream parlor, and their own church. They have a huge dinner hall where they serve restaurant-style food, and they have a chef. They have an exercise room, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and everything's indoor. The other thing that makes it nice is that all the wings are connected by skybridges, so even on the furthest out wing they can go all the way to the dining room without going outside. All the floors and all the wings have orchards and green ridge. The only ones that don't are the on the outskirts, and they have houses that are like duplexes that they can live in. They're not very far away, but they don't have the skybridges and everything that's covered/where everything's connected. Mom's doing an art class, and she does Wii bowling. They have so many things. She's got a studio apartment and she has a full kitchen, so she cooks herself. She goes down when she wants and they have a menu that they pass out every day, every week, so that they can tell what they like. If it's something they don't like, then she fixes herself something. The dining room section is open to the outside public until COVID. Her studio apartment has no bedroom, but she has a kitchen and a nice big bathroom with access, so she can get in and out. When we did the search compared to others, Cherrywood Village was very reasonable.

My mother-in-law lives in Cherrywood Village. It is great. I love it. There's always something going on. They used to play a balloon toss game, and she loved that, and they also had art projects and holiday/birthday celebrations. It's just hard to know what they do now because of COVID, but I used to go and eat with her at lunchtime, and it was just a wonderful and caring place. The memory care area feels light and bright. They have enclosed courtyards where you can go out and sit in the sun. The residents are encouraged to plant flowers as well. There has been some turnover, but some of them are still there. They're really good about calling and scheduling reviews of the care plan and all of that.

Cherrywood Village very clean and the staff was very, very helpful and courteous. The bedrooms were decent, nice, and clean. They had a concert going on in the parking lot when we went there. Their dining area was restaurant-style, and they have a gym or workout area and a nice library.

One of the advantages the Cherrywood Village has is it's right next door to a whole bunch of medical offices. Any of the doctor's appointments are right there practically. They have plenty of specialists in that location, and that was a nice feature. The facility was nice. Pricing was maybe a little more than some of the others, but they're all in the ballpark, as far as I could tell. The person giving the tour was awesome, very informative, took me all over, and walked me through everything. She was very good.

We went to Cherrywood Village. Their amenities are top notch, they have anything and everything you could ever imagine. Cleanliness is awesome, room sizes a tad small, but they are at the top of our list, and for cost they are the highest. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
