My father is happy at The Country Home Memory Care. The rooms are very nice, it's not cluttered, and I think there are only 30-something residents there. The rooms are always clean, I go at different times, and my father is always clean when I'm there. The staff is very nice, very helpful, accommodating, the director is effective, very involved, and very hands on. I know my father doesn't like to participate, but he tells me that they do activities with him. The few times I was there the food looked relatively good. I think that the living atmosphere there is good; I think it's exceptional. I haven't tasted the food, but I've been there when he's eating lunch and dinner and the food looks fine. The facilities are nice.

My daughter's mother-in-law moved into The Country Home Memory Care. The care is good, and she seems to be happy there. Steven is very good, he communicates well, he's very concerned, and we like him very much. So far the staff seem to be taking good care of her. Everything seems very good, and the apartment is good. She already made a friend there.

There was a time in my family’s life when our beloved father was changing daily and it became obvious that he was unable to stay in his favorite place… his home. So we researched and struggled with trying to find the perfect place only to be very disappointed and shocked by the poor quality of care and high cost to maintain his quality of life. When a parent is notified that they have Alzheimers and the prognosis can last between 3-8 years, the entire family must unite and rally together to find a facility quickly that will provide a resemblance of life as it was. We were very fortunate after realizing that our first highly recommended and costly choice was not a good fit, when we found the Country Home in Morris Plains. We were very limited and quite desperate to find the right place with a parent struggling with memory lost. This reasonable priced specialized, privately owned, intimate, clean, and very well maintained facility was exactly what my father and our family needed. Every day I visited, I was always impressed by their well manicured landscape and safe walking area for residence. I often worried that the owners would be selling the facility because they were always replanting flowers, or overseeing upgrades to the interior floors, bathrooms and furniture. From day one, they cared for my father as if he was their own parent. They welcomed my family’s constant visits and gave us updates on Dad’s well being daily. Despite any turnover in personnel, their management kept the very highest standards of cleanliness and control of their residence care. I would highly recommend this very unique, high quality and reasonable priced facility to any family with relatives that are struggling with Alzheimer's. In this day and age with high health care cost, and questionable quality of care, the Country Home is a very rare business model that has found a way to care for the elderly with class and dignity till the end. To the management of the Country Home, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring for our beloved Father.

I have had my loved one in residence here for over 3 years. The staff has been kind, attentive and genuinely care about the residents. Since the home is small, I have had the opportunity to get to know the staff and other residents. They really make the residents feel like it’s their home! The home is clean, the rooms have plenty of space and the food is really good. There is great outdoor space and weather permitting the residents are taken outside. I visit frequently and have never regretted placing my loved one in Country Home.

The Country Home for Seniors. It was an OK experience. It was not a good fit for my father-in-law at all. The grounds were nice outside, but the facility itself wasn’t a fit. It was more for advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. We met one of the owners, and he was polite.

The Country Home for Seniors was definitely on the older side. I think they were just too sickly for what I was looking for my parents at this point. I walked in, sat in the little living room, and saw the way they shuffled them in and out through the locked door. It was not a good impression. It reminded me of a place where people had no family to care for them. It was more of a hospital setting, and I didn't like it.

The Country Home is probably my number two choice because the people were very nice, I loved the atmosphere, and it was close enough to my home. My only concern probably was the road out front because my husband had escaped from another place, and I didn’t know if they could contain him. The rooms were simple but pleasant. The activities seemed fine. The patients were pleasant and two of them went along on the tour, and the girl, who took me on the tour, was very comfortable with them. It would have been a good place for him. They were singing and everybody would get up and dance a little bit, and a couple of ladies were interested in helping with the tour, so it seemed like they could do whatever they like to do. My husband always loves to walk, so I thought that would probably be good for him because they didn’t say no to anything. It was very comfortable and the lady who runs it seemed very efficient.

I was told the care was very good in The Country Home. The staff there seem to be attentive to the patients, but I saw lots of other patients that are unattended with no activities. The facility is an older looking home. It wasn't dirty, but the furniture was old. It looked like it needs an uplift.
