I wasn't as happy with Jennings Terrace. It's an older facility and I understand. It seems like they had a lot of activities for the seniors, which was good, but it was more set up as a nursing home than an assisted living. The people were very friendly and nice. They did things with the local community, which was very nice, and I liked that idea too. They seemed very helpful. It's just that the building has been there a long time. It needs a lot of work.

Jennings Terrace was more like a nursing facility. The apartments were two rooms, a bedroom, and a small living room. There's a community shower, and that was unacceptable. The facility was nice. They provide three meals a day because these guys need assistance. I don't need the assisted living aspect of the apartment I'm looking for. The community shower is a turnoff to me. They were having lunch when I got there and everybody seemed very cordial, enjoying themselves. The problem is it's way too small. We couldn't even get one-tenth of our furniture in the place. If a person needed assisted living, I would recommend a place such as this. Everything was up to par as far as cleanliness and cordialness. It was just the size of the apartment and the apartment arrangement, too small a bedroom and living area. They have a medical facility attached to the place. They have common areas, and they're very clean and cordial. If I was by myself needing medical attention and needed assistance, I probably would have no problem living there. They've got a nondenominational religious chapel. They had room to play cards, just to socialize. They had a main dining room. Everybody seemed comfortable and I don't think there's any problem with the facility except it's not what I'm looking for.

I liked Jennings Terrace. I liked how friendly everyone was. They answered a lot of questions. They were very thorough with their information. They were very kind. They give everybody their own space. They give everybody space to eat and a space to exercise and keep their skills up-to-date. It was clean. It looked good. There was an exercise area to keep their mobility. There was a courtyard.

Jennings Terrace was clean and the people were friendly. The girl that gave me the tour was very friendly, very good, and thorough as to what goes on there daily. It was easy to get around in there. It was all on one level. I looked at the menu. They post what they are having every day. The facility looked good. It's an older building, but it was clean.

Jennings Terrace is a nonprofit, which I like the philosophy. The cost is very reasonable, but it's an old place. My staff interaction was perfect. You get what you pay for. This place is about half the price of everybody else. It has not been kept up. The carpeting was old and dirty. The lobby area had old and shabby furniture. The rooms have their own toilet and sink, but not all the rooms have showers. There are a lot of showers, but people would have to share. You have to sign up for showers, that kind of thing.

Jennings Terrace looked like a nice place to live. The people were very nice. The staff member who gave me the tour was very informative, and she seemed to be knowledgeable. The rooms were small, but quaint. The dining room wasn't necessarily beautiful, but it looked like it was equipped for people to eat there. There was a church and there were church schedules. They also had a schedule of different activities. The atmosphere of this facility was very appropriate for seniors.

The tour at Jennings Terrace was good. I looked at their prices for a private room and a private bath. The staff members were good. They do your laundry and clean your room. They serve three meals a day. They had a little store and a barbershop.

I liked Jennings Terrace. I liked that the people were open and that they were very warm and very inviting. The nursing side had its own dining room, a little lounge area, and its own nurse's station. So, I liked the way it's set up. There are a couple of places where you look out the windows. They had an atrium area where it had a ton of bird feeders. I also understand that they had activities. Esther was great. She was awesome. She explained everything, answered all our questions, and was very forthcoming. It's a smaller facility and they're very concerned about individualizing the care. Esther was always asking me about my dad and not what kind of medication he needed.

I toured Jennings Terrace. The least I liked about them is that it was fully carpeted, and my mother does not do good on carpeting at all. So that was a big no. There could have been some updates taken at the building because it was quite old. I liked that it was very homey. They had what they call a suite, and if my mother were to go there, that's the one that she would have gone to because it's two rooms. The people were nice. They were very friendly and informative. It holds 40 people, but they only had 20-some people. They showed us where the activities would take place, but no activities were going on. We only saw two residents there walking around.

We went to Jennings Terrace, and we liked it. The place looks good, but my mother-in-law is not yet ready. We toured both assisted and independent living. The independent living looks a little bit better, but both places are nice. It looks like the people who run it are very nice. Everybody is very kind over there. The staff who toured us was very nice. She took us all over the place. She was very helpful. The place itself is old, but well-maintained. Of course, it would be better if the place was a little bit newer, but it's fine. You can go and sit outside in the park, so it's a nice place.

We toured Jennings Terrace. It was nice and clean. It was a little too -not a homey look, it was more of an industrial look, but it was very neat. The staff who gave the tour answered all of our questions and took us around the whole place, and she was very informative. We checked the dining area and we saw people eating, but we didn't sample any food. We also went into an activity room which was more like a music room for church services, it was a room for all kinds of things, but when we went, there wasn't anyone doing any kind of activity. The facility had a very nice layout.

We went to visit Jennings Terrace but my mother-in-law didn't care for it. I like the open space they have. I'm glad they have many activities and 24-hour care. You can have a double room, which is like a small living space plus your bedroom, and then the other one was just your bedroom. They may have some furnishings, but mostly, you bring everything you need. The tour was good and the staff answered all my questions. They offered us meals but we had other appointments. They have a courtyard and chairs and benches outside, it's a very nice setup with the gazebo.

Jennings Terrace was an older place. It was not the newest and greatest facility, but I think they knew what they were doing, taking care of people. They're more economical. I've been there because friends of ours are living there, so we visited them. We ate there and my experience with them was positive. They facility just needed some upkeep.

Jennings Terrace is an older building, but my parents are happy there. The staff members seem good and responsive. When my parents call for help, they come rather quickly, and there's also good communication among the staff with family members about what's going on. They like the food and the church, my mom had her nails painted, and they have physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.

My mother stayed at Jennings Terrace assisted living and then she went to the nursing side. It was homey and clean, and there were no bad odors. The staff on the nursing side was not as good as they should be. The food and the dining area were good. The activities were good. They played bingo, they had Girl Scouts come in, they made things out of clay, and they had ice cream socials. They need to pay more attention to personal care on the nursing side. Their billing system was screwed up. The person that sent me the bill couldn't explain it to me because it was a new system, and she just kept telling me how the old one worked.

My father is in Jennings Terrace. The care has been good, his room is kept clean, and they have activities going on all week long. The staff is very good. The dining area is well kept and they've always cleaned up really good. They have a big TV for them, a piano, an organ, an atrium where they have birdfeeders outside, a puzzle room, and an activity room where they play games and cards. It's an older facility. They're welcoming and friendly.

Jennings Terrace was an older facility, but everything was very nice. They were remodeling one whole area and the dining room, so we didn't get to see that too much. They had to share a bathroom, but some of them could have their own bathroom. The tour guide was very nice.

Jennings Terrace had all stages of living, independent and assisted, and memory care as well. It was a nice place. The rooms were smaller, but you could get two rooms together. One of the things that would turn our mother off in just this particular case is the shared bathroom. The staff member did a great job and showed us the different areas. The dining area was nice and everyone raved about the food there. We tried the mac n' cheese and something else and it was good. I enjoyed it. We went there on a weekend when they usually have less activities, mostly because they have a large population of people whose loved ones come and get them on the weekends. They had a list of activities during the week though.

Jennings Terrace was OK and had everything we needed at that time. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I observed how the nurse and the staff worked with the patients, and it seemed good.

My husband is in Jennings Terrace. I knew people who were there, so knew it’s good. The people are nice and well taken care of, and the food is wonderful. For him, it’s fine. He’s not interested in anything and doesn't have any hobbies whatsoever; even when he was home, I could not interest him in anything. They have a group exercise that they do, entertainment that comes in, and different things like ice-cream social and different events that they can go to.

We took a tour of Jennings Terrace. It's an older retirement home that is definitely in need of a paint job and new carpeting. The place has a little bit of an odor, and I just think it needs to be renovated. The staff seemed very nice. I saw the dining room, and it's just outdated.

It’s a good value for the price we paid at Jennings Terrace. They have good food. They do have basic activities. It is clean, and they give good care. This is not a very fancy place. She has two rooms with a living area, a bedroom, bathroom, but not every room has a shower. There’s no kitchenette in her room. They have exercise classes, bingo. They do a lot of card games. They do go out but not a lot. It is a mid-range facility overall.

The only property that I was able to see was Jennings Terraces. It looked much smaller. The people were very nice, but I did not care for the shared showers. There were people sitting outside in the lobby, and they greeted me. The dining area was clean.

Jennings Terrace is in a community that mother was familiar with. It was close to her home, and the price was right. It was something that she could afford. All the others were way too expensive. She is in independent living, she is very happy there, she likes the food and the people, and she feels very much at home.

Jennings Terrace was built in 1965, so it is quite dated. It is clean and nice, but it is an older facility, so it is more dated. It is well kept, and the people were very nice and very kind. The rooms are very small, and the bathrooms are tiny. You could have two rooms if you want with the bathroom in the middle. The outside wall is concrete black and not like your pretty dry wall. It is clean, and the people were accommodating and so nice, but it didn't feel homey. It felt more like an institution type of thing. I give the people an excellent rating, but the place itself I'd give about a three.

I was given the tour by the director at Jennings Terrace. They had individual rooms, and you could rent a single room or a double room. It's a very nice place, it's well staffed, and it's very clean. They had excellent dining rooms.

I would say Jennings Terrace was a good facility. My sister lived there for six weeks. It was very clean. It was very large. I was impressed. The director was really helpful. The facility was very large, but the people seemed well cared for and friendly. However, they didn't have private rooms, and that was one of our drawbacks. They only had semi-privates. Otherwise, the rooms were very nice. Nevertheless, Jennings Terrace was very clean. I visited both independent and assisted living. One best thing about them is that they decided that my sister needed a little bit more medical than assisted living. The facility was also really nice because they had a little sitting room and a bedroom and a bath in each room, which I thought was a very nice layout. They weren't exceptionally large rooms, but still with nice space.
