Brookdale Wilsonville was nice. When you walk in, it's very open and friendly. The staff there was really good. I liked the rooms better, just the layout and the design of them. Everyone was super friendly when you first walked in. The people that were living there were very friendly. They had a garden area, which was a little farther away and that's the only thing. For most residents, it's a little jaunt across the parking lot to get to it, but other than that, it was good. They had a nice dining room, a good TV/movie space, a lot of people out doing games and playing cards and stuff in a lot of the areas, so it was nice. They had a nice fireplace, a piano, a library, and a reading room.

I liked Brookdale Wilsonville because they are working with me. I have a condition that no one will take me, but these folks are working with me, and that's why I chose them so quickly. They would support me in any way they could. I talked with the doctor and he was very kind and wanted to do anything he could to get me in there. It's a beautiful place. Andy was so kind and so willing to help me. She's just wonderful. The one bedroom seems perfect for me. I do not plan to use the kitchen because I don't want to do any cooking, but I'm going to use a lot of the kitchen cupboards and pantry for storage of my items. I saw the menu and it looked like a nice choice of entrees for each meal. The dining area looks nice and pleasant. There's an outdoor barbecue (I'm not sure if residents use that or if the kitchen uses it). There are walking paths, which are wonderful, and a lot of greenery around. I found this community to be perfect in that there are things close to the community that are of value to me. For instance, grocery shopping. There are two major grocery stores. The post office is within walking distance. The Goodwill, my favorite store, is close by. The library is close by. It's just ideal.

My tour of Brookdale Wilsonville was good. It was informative. It just was a bit dated (like the carpet and the furnishings) compared to the other ones I visited. But it was clean, well-kept, and organized. The lady who gave me the tour was great. She was fabulous. Of all the tours I went on, she was my favorite person. With regards to the living atmosphere, everything was nice, well-lit, very clean, and well-kept. However, it wasn't what my father was looking for. He wanted something that felt younger. The place wasn't bad. It was the oldest of the facilities I visited, so it felt dated. There was nothing wrong with it other than, it just seemed you walked in there and you felt like it was older.

I visited this facility

We went to Brookdale Wilsonville. The staff were great. We liked this place. They were a little bit out of my in-law's price range, which is why we did not choose them. And the apartments were small, but we really liked everything else about them. The people there were great. The facility was nice. They had great activities. One thing we didn't like there is that they didn't have transportation at the moment, instead they would call you like a Dial-A-Ride. But we wanted a place that had transportation where we knew that they got our parents there, that they were there to pick them up, and that they were there to watch over them. So that was one thing that we didn't like. They had all kinds of activities. While we were there, they were doing an exercise class, and there were a lot of people in it. They have games, bingo, and a lot of different musicians come in. They have great activities planned. They offered us a meal, but we didn't have time. But we looked at their menu, and it looked incredible.

I visited this facility

I visited Brookdale Wilsonville twice, once by myself and once with my brother. They have a nice facility, and they do offer both independent living and assisted living. They offer one thing that is different, they have assisted living on one level of the facility and independent living on another level. I think the assisted living was on the second floor. They had a nice dining facility. It was a little older facility, the exercise area was just a little corner off in a community area, the same thing with media or movie theater type thing. It was just a large screen TV off in the corner of a large common area. It wasn't anything to get excited about at all. The manager that I met was quite cordial and helpful and gave me brochures and information.

Brookdale Wilsonville was very spacious, clean, and inviting. I actually did eat there a couple of different times, and the food was quite good. The staff was very, very nice and helpful. My mother-in-law was in their independent living. It was really great. It was a very nice place. They had lots of activities for my mother-in-law. They did bus outings. They went shopping, and they did a really good job with that.

We like Brookdale Wilsonville. My wife, particularly, likes it very much. We like its proximity to shopping. She can just walk over and buy something. We took home a small plant that was a present from the staff. The cleanliness and upkeep was good. From the second floor and down the stairs, you're in the dining room. They had individual bedrooms where people could plant things. It was very nice.

I visited this facility

I went to Brookdale Wilsonville. I toured the downstairs and went inside. The third floor upstairs was where assisted would be. While I did not go into one of the rooms, I got a real sense of the place. They share the living area, as far as where they go and eat and so forth. I felt like they had really good COVID measures. They had the front door locked, so people can't just walk in. They have to come and lock it. They had lots of sanitizers where you sign in, so they really know who's coming and going if they ever had to do any tracing. It didn't smell bad, and it was cheerful. The gal who I talked with and showed me around, Cathy, was very good at communicating and very inviting. I had very little interaction with them, but everything I had was just real fine. Everything I saw, I liked. I was impressed.

I chose Brookdale Wilsonville for my husband and it's been a couple of months now. He gets care with showers and any emergencies. It is clean, well-organized and cheerful. The food is good and help when you need it is instant. Everybody smiles. It’s a really nice organization. My husband hasn't participated in any activities yet since he's still getting physical, occupational, and mental education. He has a lot of people coming in and helping him to recover. They have bus rides, card games, bingo, people who come in to entertain, and exercise classes. The pricing is expensive, though.

Helpful staff - pleasant aura - people seem content -clean interiorly & exteriorly, convenient to banking, shopping, medical facilities. Was our first choice to move too but two things concerned us: 1) Two bedrooms have just one small bathroom and no cottages. We'd need two baths. 2) Too long of a wait for meals. Gene is diabetic and its important to eat at scheduled times. We both prefer open dining.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Brookdale Wilsonville is nice and has everything I need, but I've only been here for a month. The food is adequate. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's OK. There are a lot of activities to do here and a bus that takes us places. The staff is very nice. I would have loved to have a door from my room that goes straight outside so I wouldn't have to go down the hallway and out the door, but I knew that when I moved in.

I love Brookdale. The food, care, and cleaning are good, and they're very attentive. They communicate well with me and the caregiver who is not on-site. They have a lot of other resources that they help me with, and the people are sweet and kind. My dad's happy there, and it's very reasonable.

It was a wonderful place, and we love it. Brookdale Wilsonville (Formerly Emeritus at Windfield Village) wasn't our first choice because it was a little more expensive, but we would've chosen them. They were very nice there, the food was excellent, and they had activities on every level.

We choose Brookdale at Wilsonville for my mom because it has a really nice big room. The place is clean, and everybody is nice. The staff is great. There are a lot of lovely activities. They have bingo and games. They have people come in and perform. They do like country drives and take them to the different stores and different banks. They have cookie time and ice cream time. On Fridays they have wine, cheese, and pastries from around the world. I had breakfast and dinner there once, and it was fine. The food is good.

Mom moved here, and they are absolutely wonderful. I have nothing but good to say about this facility. It was a great transition for her. It was all kind of done really quickly, and they work with her. The staff is great. The activity's director and the involvement that they gotten her in was just wonderful. She is transitioning really well. Her apartment is clean. They have different activities, and they also have musicals. She is busy playing dice games. She is definitely getting more involved. I was able to eat there, and the food was great.
