I visited this facility

The Regent is very clean, organized, and up-to-date. The apartments are very nice and beautiful. It would take some getting used to because they are small. The food is tasty, and the dining area is like an upscale restaurant with a menu. They have an organized craft area, movies, and programs. They also have a room where you can have visitors. I like the proximity to shopping areas and the access to good roads.

I visited this facility

I would give The Regent five stars all around. It is very nice. The staff is very nice. It has a sister complex that we did not visit that has memory care. While the facility does not provide care for the residents per se, it has a home health care agency that is in there. It actually saves you a bunch of money than you get for outpatient home health care benefits. The rooms are very nice. They are mostly one-bedrooms, but they do have two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms. They have a big theater room where they watch football or movies. When we were there, there was a little concert by a string section. They have happy hour on Friday nights. They have a really nice area around the building for walks and nature hike kind of things. We were not there at lunch time, although we did see a few people finishing up. The food looks fine, and I didn't think it will be an issue there. They have a service where if you sort of know you won't make it down to meal time, you can call ahead, and they will make you basically a box for pickup. For me, it’s the location, and I really like the fact that they are sort of a bifurcated community. People can go there to live independently and stay there when they move in to home health care before they need to move over to a nursing home or memory care facility. I've never seen something like it, and it is appealing to me.

I visited this facility

I was impressed by the Regent, it was pretty new and well-kept. They’ve got really nice rooms. They had a movie theater type room which was really very nice, a pool room and a place for people to have their alcoholic beverages. It was a pretty ritzy place. The staff did a really good job of showing me around. The dining room was reminiscent of a very nice restaurant. The package however gets you only 14 meals a week so you get your breakfast and whether lunch or supper and I wasn’t expecting that and I was disappointed. Also, one of the daily worker didn’t seem to be very happy with her job and wasn’t enjoying what she was doing and that was kind of sad.

I visited this facility

The facility was clean and bright. It was reasonably organized and they had lots of activities. The staff was nice. It would be better if they had bigger apartments.

I visited this facility

Regent Senior Living was a really beautiful place. They had a nice library, a community room with snacks all day, a bar area, several television, pool tables and exercise equipment. There were also outside decks, a big room where you could have family dinner and a really good chef. The building really stood out for me and my husband when we visited. I would recommend this place to others.

This is a very new retirement community for the 55+ folks. Located on the north east side of the city, the Regent is a large and lovely campus. It offers a comprehensive package of services and ammenities that are personalized by need and wants. There are plent of commons areas and great walking paths. Everything you need is nearby. It is pet friendly and also family friendly. Plenty of opportunities to get involved with activities and hobbies. Transportation is scheduled and escorts provided as needed. Help with activities of daily living can be obtained. Good security. Great food choices. Run by the Legend management group that has lots of experience in senior living and design...but may be a few kinks still since it is so new. No buy in and month to month okay.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

This facility, which is just a retirement community; an apartment complex with extra amenities; a movie theatre, pool table and social room, java cafe, dining room that serves 3 meals a day, etc. This has been a life changing experience for my 93 year old mother who is so much happier and not so isolated and lonely as she was when living alone.
