Morningside of Washington

My sister is at Morningside of Washington. It's bright and cheerful. They seem to be friendly and helpful. She has a studio, but she's hoping to get into a one-bedroom apartment. They have a lot of helpful staff. They will help the resident take a shower and things like that if you need that much. I ate lunch there with her, but I wasn't able to eat in the actual dining room. I had to eat in their little cafe thing, and I had a hamburger, and it was good. For a studio apartment, it's OK, but she's kinda cramped. She's only lived there a little while, and she's been in the hospital half the time, so she hasn't really settled in there yet. I know they have activities, but I haven't seen any. My sister thinks that she gets more personal care there than other places for her money. She's very excited about it, and obviously that was her first choice.

Morningside of Washington was very nice and well taken care of. It was presented very nicely. The staff who toured us was really good, answered a lot of questions, and didn’t rush us. It was a good experience. They had trivia going on when we visited.

Grand Victoria doesn’t have the experience with dementia that my father got. They were more of assisted living. The rooms were great. The facility is not as secured as the other two we went to.
