I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Bridgeview TF ID: My mom and dad moved into Bridgeview over 5 years ago. At that time they where considered one of the best senior living places in Twin. My parents are now in there 90's and for me to consider moving them is a big under taking. But they have been so unhappy with the conditions at Bridgeview. The move became necessary. They are now at a different senior living facility. I cant tell you how nervous I was that they might still be unhappy. Its like moving has brought them new life. They love the apartments/ the management / they say its like 5 star food. They are just happy and that makes me happy. So all I can say is Brideview is not the place to stay.

This place is horrible..my mother was there for 2 years, and after they decided to raise her rent by $2000.00 a month ,it was time to move her.. mom's pain medication on an average of twice a month would come up missing.. they are currently under investigation by the state, and Adult protective services.. I've seen quite a few residents move out for the same reasons.. I've also seen great caregivers quit their jobs and go elsewhere.. this is the truth..

Bridgeview Estates is good. I am impressed with the staff. Everybody is great. It's very nice, well-set up, well-staffed, and immaculate. Mom moved there. The one one-bedroom apartment has lots of space in it. It's got a nice big bedroom, big closets, and a nice bathroom that was large enough for wheelchairs as needed. I am very impressed.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was in Bridgeview Estates for about two weeks, then she had a stroke. The food was very good. They had a lot of activities for the residents, and they varied from month-to-month according to what I was told. They had mini-concerts for the people up in their hall, they take them places, and they do things with them, but of course that was before the COVID.

The cost is a major factor why we chose BridgeView Estates. It's cheaper than other communities, it's clean, and they seem to take care of my uncle. So far, it's OK. They told us that we could visit him in the room, but that changed the first day I visited him, and we had to talk to him in the conference room. They told me that they'll allow two people in the room, but with masks. It's kinda dated, but it looks fine. It looks like any other senior facility. They're like a used car sale. They tell you what you wanna hear, but when you get in there, the rules kind of changes. I'd rather have people be upfront and honest rather than sell me a bag of crap. I asked my uncle yesterday how the food was, and he said it was good. Sometimes, he likes the food, and there were a couple of days where he didn't like it. It's clean, but it's not immaculate. The value for the money right now is good because they gave us a good deal for the first month.

I visited this facility

I visited Bridgeview Estates and I liked it. I would go there. I've known people that have been in there, and I've eaten there. The food is good, delicious, and there's a variety. There are plenty of activities for people to get involved with, I've seen the independent and assisted living residences, and the staff seemed friendly and nice. I've met the managers, they were kind, and they had a lot of activities.

My mom has been at BridgeView Estates for two months now. They had an excellent care facility, and their cost was lower than the others. They do a wonderful job. They have a phenomenal facility for $2,200 a month, and everything is provided from transportation to food to cleaning.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Bridgeview Estates has a nice courtyard for us to go out in if we want to. It has several front and back entrances. It has an assisted living side and a rehab side. The rooms are double rooms, although there are a couple of single rooms, but they are pretty expensive. Everything is being taken care of like the food, laundry, and everything. They are understaffed, and it makes it hard for the people who do work here. They need a bath team so that they have specific people to come in and give baths so the other girls can answer call lights. They have an activity director that provides things for us to do like crafts and bingo. The food is excellent.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a resident for six weeks in the assisted living side. She had recent surgery and dementia. The staff did not communicate her health care needs to each other. She was at risk for falling, yet the staff did not notify each other of this. She developed two pressure ulcers that they did not tell our family about. The staff took between 15 to 45 minutes to answer any call lights. The first time I visited, I walked in walked through the building, pass several workers who did not ask my name or business being there. I didn't know there was a visitor check-in process until I had visited her 4 times! When I visited my mother, I noticed a bruise on her face. When I asked about it, no one could answer. I spoke with the doctor several times. The doctor did not work with her primary doctor about mother's care. Needless to say, we moved my mother to a better facility. The facility is beautiful, very inviting, but when you take the cosmetics away, care is lacking. In my opinion, that's what truly matters.

I visited this facility

Bridgeview Estates has acute care, assisted care, and the apartments. It was very nice. The apartments were very nice; we saw the one-bedrooms and the two-bedrooms. All the staff seemed helpful. The food was very good. They had a lot of different activities, plus go out of the facility to go places and do things.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom was in Bridgeview Estates. The regular staff was very wonderful and very caring, but the administration was difficult to work with. When we were asking about certain questions for her, the staff was more than willing to help her, but the administration thought that she would be too difficult. The facility was very pleasant. They had a nice dining room, and the rooms were nice as well. The administration called my brother who lives in Idaho and told him that she needed to be moved to a hospice. Some of the difficulty came when my brother said we will take her to the doctor and see what the doctor will say. They said he does not need to, and they will just move her into a hospice. He was not happy about it. He took her to the doctor and the doctor said she was not ready for hospice care yet. I would not put our mom back in there.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother was in Bridge View Estates. I didn't like that place at all. The one good thing about it, I guess, was that it had three or four levels of care, and my mom was in the nursing level. The rooms in the senior housing were quite nice. They had a kitchenette, a little dining room and living room combined, and a little bedroom area. They seemed to keep them quite clean. Down where my mom was, in the nursing facility, they were pretty rundown. They changed aides every week; we never got to know an aide, and nobody ever got to know my mom. I thought nobody cared about her. When she was supposed to be fed, those aides would just sit and talk to each other instead of feeding her. As soon as she was through eating, they just threw her back in bed. There wasn't even a TV room or anything that they could take her to. She was just in bed and then ate and then they took her back to bed; there was no interaction. They just kind of did their job and didn't say a word to her most of the time.

It was a wonderful experience with this facility. They took care of my father, and made sure that he had everything he could need. They took him to his doctor appointments, and helped him take his medication.

I visited this facility

This facility was very clean, and the staff were very friendly, We stayed for lunch and the food was of good quaility, and the residents we talked to seemed to be pleased with the care that they recieved there. The rooms were kept up, and I noticed that the staff really cared for the residents. Also they have an excellent activities program for the more active residents
