I am a friend or relative of a resident

I think Fellowship Square is a very good facility from what I’m beginning to understand about it. I haven’t been here very long, but I’m totally independent. They have a place for all kinds of people with different levels of care from assisted to fully independent. I’m in one room now that very nice for me, and everything’s going well. I think the food is very good. I need to be here longer because I’m participating in all aspects of the facilities that they’re able to offer me, like exercises, the pool which has been very helpful, and walking.

They have people on their waiting list all the time. In fact, I've talked to people who are on the waiting list for 15 years, and they got on that early because they knew exactly which unit they wanted. The only thing about Fellowship Square is that their meals are great. My mom lives in the main villas, so she actually lives in the best of the four buildings, and the residents are all very nice. Mom lives by the elevator, so people are coming and going, and they are all very nice to her. Nice residents, and the staff is good, but the only thing wrong with them is maintenance. Their maintenance people -- half of them seem like they don't know what they are doing. They have a full activity schedule. They take people to concerts and events and theater, and they have something going on almost every hour of the day in one of the villas -- they actually have four buildings. They have brain games and chair exercises or yoga or swimming, so the ladies are out at 8 in the morning. They have a lot on their activity schedule, and they do a lot of transportation to various shopping places and so forth. It is surely a pretty good place. But if you want something more luxurious, what they are doing now if the person wants the asbestos beams in the ceiling covered and have the place remodeled, they are basically charging people around $500 a month more for their units. So, they are giving people the option of getting their units upgraded, but the new tenant pays for it, and the rest of the tenants or the ones that come thereafter.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My wife and I reside at Fellowship Square Tucson. We just came in about a week ago. This is a non-profit community. We're paying over $700 a month less than we did at our last community. That's the main thing for us. The apartment that we have is bigger in this community. It is a one-bedroom with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. They have the usual activities like most of the communities. They also have all the amenities like with all the other ones. We have exercise and game playing. We have a library and a computer room. The computer room has about 10 computers compared to the last place, which only had three. They have five swimming pools too, and they're good size pools. The food is very good.

I visited this facility

Fellowship Square was very neat and clean, and the grounds were well maintained. The staff was excellent, answered all my questions, and even emailed me a couple of times. The dining room was great, and everyone that I made eye contact with smiled. They have so many activities that they have one calendar for activities and a separate calendar for exercise groups and classes. I thought they were very efficient, caring, and helpful.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was in Fellowship Square, which was a specific senior facility. The facilities were quite pleasant. The environment was good, and the landscaping was beautiful. They provided 15 meals a month. My room there was OK. It was a studio apartment, so it was small. It was a friendly and inviting, but it is a rather large community.

I visited this facility

The staff of Fellowship Square was very professional and they were all very friendly. They seemed to have good social activities for my dad. It was an older facility, but it was clean. They seemed to be able to provide anything that a senior would need as far as transportation and medical needs. It is an old building, and it is a lot of walking distance for the seniors to get from point A to point B, and a lot of it is outdoors, so they have to be in the elements. If it is cold or raining, they still have to walk to the cafeteria.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom is a resident of Fellowship Square and it is a wonderful place. Everything has been excellent, and my mother is very pleased. She is in a two-bedroom apartment. It is very affordable and the price is right. Everybody I talk to is pleased with the place, and they told me it is best decision they make. They are happy to be there, nobody has any complaints. It is amazing! The dinner is excellent. They treat you very nicely. They have an elegant dining room. They are nice, open, and they offer a lot of stuff. It has four swimming pools and lots of activities like exercise. She's very happy there and she didn't want to move.

I visited this facility

Fellowship Square Tucson is the one that I'm leaning towards right now. In fact, I even have a deposit there. It is well located in town. I very much like their amenities and their accommodations. Their apartments are very large. They also have a nice garden area. I also like that they have a limited number of meals. When you get to my age, somebody in their 80s, you don't need three big meals a day.

I visited this facility

If and when my husband and I decided to go to a retirement community, we will go to Fellowship Square. It used to be an apartment house. The rooms are much larger than the other places. The staff was nice. They had swimming pools and other activities.

I visited this facility

I definitely recommend Fellowship Square to others. It was located near a hospital. The apartments were spacious. The only drawback we saw was that you had to walk quite a distance to eat.
