I visited this facility
My parents have chosen University Village, and all the paperwork is being processed and set. It was a very active community. There were lots of courses that were offered. There were 4 different dining rooms. There are 3 hospitals right in the area. The cost was good. Also, there are a few people of my parents’ ethnic background there which seemed to help a little bit. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and very knowledgeable.

I visited this facility
University Village was a beautiful facility. We saw two apartments, and then we had a nice lunch. We met one of the chefs in the dining room. The dining area was very nice. They only have one dining room, which is opened at noon. They give you your evening meal. There's coffee and donuts at breakfast time, but no breakfast and not served by the staff. There were quite a few people there for lunch. But then you pay for that separately. They have a salad bar, and they also have a menu. They had our names on the card on one of the tables welcoming us, which I thought was very nice. The food was good. The apartment has a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen. The one we looked at was just being refurbished. Newly painted, with new carpeting and new appliances in the kitchen. The kitchen was gorgeous. If my husband and I could not manage on our own at home, we could manage there. We didn't get into a great deal of their activities. They do have a bus that will take people who don't drive anymore, and also a chauffeured car. I have a friend who just moved there. They also have villas. They're across the street, but you have the same privileges as anyone living in the main building, and they are larger. I guess the thing that really slowed me down was the fee, which is $109,000. And then they have monthly fee for the apartment as well. You have one evening meal that is included in your maintenance for the month.
