The rooms are small but easy to clean The food used to be good the new director got rid of the kitchen staff now the food not as good and never hot. When they raised rates 12 percent I left!

Renaissance - North Tampa was very nice. It was well-maintained and clean. It was very well decorated. Visibly, it looked nice. There was a lake out front with a little sitting area where you could sit and look at the lake. There was a swimming pool in the facility and there were a lot of amenities. The apartments looked fine, but they were too small for our furniture. The staff was very nice. I went in on my own to see about an appointment. I had 2 different people because the person who initially met me wasn't available when my wife and I came back, but both of the ladies were very knowledgeable, knew the facility, knew what we were looking for, and gave us a nice tour. The dining area was lovely. There were places cordoned off. If you had guests coming to visit, you could sit in a semi-private area with your guests.

We toured Renaissance - North Tampa. It was very good. The staff was very friendly. They only showed us one unit. It was a one-bedroom apartment. They had an art room, a happy hour place, a pool, and a gym.

The quality of the amenities provided as part of the monthly rent has dropped overwhelmingly in the last year. Coupled with January’s totally unforeseen and unexpected 12% rent increase money grab means that residents ate getting way less return on way more monthly rent increase. The restaurant staff left pretty much en mass at the end of 2022. It took management approximately 6 months to get food service back to some semblance of normalcy. Many residents just don’t have other options or they would have lost even MORE residents.

My mother stays in Renaissance North Tampa which is a good place. The people seem to be very nice, they offer a variety of care starting from just assisted living to full memory care. The facilities are very clean, they have a very pretty little lake and landscaping, and it looks like there are lots of activities. I have no problems with that place at all. They also have meal times and they have little trips. I haven't seen the food but one time I asked my mom and she said her dinner was yummy. Her room is very pretty, they have nice rooms and she has all her own stuff there. The aides come in and help her with stuff, and it's just been good. It's pretty pricey, but all these places are.

My grandmother is back at the Renaissance - North Tampa for two weeks now and everything is going pretty well. It is a very nice place. They take care of her very well and I would recommend them. They're a little bit more pricey than the rest of them, but they do give pretty good care over there. The staff is very good. Her shared room is very nice and has a nice size. Everything over there has been remodeled. When you go into the room, there's a bathroom in the middle and then a room on the left and a room on the right, which is very nice because it gives my grandma company in a way. Even though it's a shared room, they have their own separate rooms. They take them outside and they play all kinds of bingo, and they have different activities depending on their physical state. They do a lot of one-on-one with them. They have a couple of courtyards. One is a covered area out in the courtyard so they can be outside but still be under cover. You can't go in or out without one of the nurses or one of the assistants that work there. The facility is very clean, very nicely remodeled, and has a nice layout.

My wife has moved into Renaissance - North Tampa. They are excellent. I reviewed both the independent and the assisted living. The independent living is a three-story unit, and it has its own dining room, menus, and excellent meals. There's a chef for each one of the separate buildings. I reviewed those menus, and it's just sort of like a hotel concierge type of thing, but very good. The assisted living staff has very low turnover. We had an excellent greeting in the tour. A lot of these places are understaffed now, there's a shortage of CNA, nurses, and service workers. We've had an excellent service in their dining facilities in the assisted living. It's a very warm and inviting dining room. My wife is in actually a studio room, and they accommodated her. They didn't have a room, so they let her use the model studio for the first two weeks and will be moving her later this week to her own studio. It's a little over three hundred square feet and you have to furnish them yourselves. They're not furnished so people can decorate them as they like. The general age of the population is in their eighties, and much more advanced state of decline than my wife. But my wife has some beginning dementia problems, that's why she's there to do rebound from coming out of the hospital in skilled nursing. She's really starting her therapy this week, and we'll get a primary care physician assigned there with all the teams of specialists. They transport them to all their appointments within 12 miles, and that location puts them within St Joseph's North, South Advent Hospital University, so the location is very strategic. There's a beautiful lake out there, and that's the general walking area. My wife isn’t ready for crocheting or bingo or anything like that now, but they have a Church service that's piped in, and Bible studies that are led there. My wife is pretty much staying in the room and walking around. Her goal is to get better beyond this stage where we can move to an independent living with help. In most of the places, the prices were going to go up 10 percent in January, so her base level is like $4,000 something, which we can't afford, and they package and layer all the additions if you need help dressing, bathing, assistance to take medication, all those are add-ons to the fees. But the food is included, and of course all the other amenities. The staff are very attentive, and I won't really see how good it is until they kick in now since the holidays are over. Even the physicians teams were on vacation. The general activities, basically it's a big TV room, an exercise room, bingo room, and all those kinds of things that my wife doesn't use. Today the nurse came to evaluate and determine what kind of physical therapy she would need, whether she's going to do it outside her room or in her room. In terms of value for money, we can't really afford it. Some people are on Medicare or Medicaid. Is the price worth taking care of your loved one? That's kind of a relative question. Basically, I'm having to sell everything I have and move into a small place so I can pay for it to take care of my wife. So, the prices range there anywhere from $3,000 up to $6,000 in the memory unit which is about the average going in other facilities I looked at.

I visited Renaissance North Tampa and that was a very, very nice facility. It's probably the nicest one out of all of them. It had the most amenities. It was a clean place, but the price was just too high. They had a nice exercise room. It's very, very well-equipped. They had access to a computer and library books. They had places outside where you could sit and talk with other residents. I looked at a studio and it was sufficient for respite care. I was looking for respite care.

My husband is moving to Renaissance North Tampa. I was impressed with the cleanliness and how they handled things. Things seemed pretty calm and organized. Everyone there has been very helpful with the process and if I call, they call back or answer right away. They have two dining rooms, they showed me one room which is a smaller unit and wasn't so big. A couple of the other places I've looked at had long halls and were very large, but at this one, the halls aren't long. They all lead into either a family room or the kitchen area. It's a little homier to me, and not all spread out. The time that we were there, they had a gentleman playing the guitar and they were singing and playing the tambourine. Everyone seemed very content and did not wander around. They had a nice, big garden area, and one of the garden areas is in the center. Everybody so far has been very, very helpful. The main nurse came out to our house and talked to me, to my husband, see how he was, and ask questions. Overall, since the place is a little smaller it's more personable, and I was impressed with what I saw.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I've been in Renaissance-North Tampa for maybe nine months now. It's very pleasant, very well kept, and very clean. During the COVID scare, they were extremely careful. They used to deliver the meals so that we weren't exposed to anyone, and as soon as the vaccines are available, we got them without any problem and we didn't have to call anybody or wait in long lines, they were here, and it was done fast. It was wonderful. I have a two-bedroom. What I liked about it was I had been in touch with them years ago and because of the COVID, I put everything on hold and then when my house went on the market, it's so fast that I needed a place to go and they had something available. I asked them to remove the carpeting and replace it with vinyl flooring, and they did that within a few days. By the time I moved in, everything was taken care of. What I like about it is that it is safe, the residents are marvelous, and the staff is extremely helpful. Because of the COVID, they limit their activities. You have to sign up and they have a limited number, but now, of course, that's easing a little bit. They used to have outings and everything. I haven't been to any of the outings because they haven't offered them, but they have transportation that if you need to go to a doctor or whatever, they arrange it for you. If you want to go grocery shopping, they will take you, so it's very convenient. Now, I'm very independent. I have my own car, so I don't use a lot of their facilities, but the facilities are available. We are short-staffed but the ones that are here do the very best they can. It's difficult. Sometimes there is one person to handle all the calls and everything so we can get a little bit hectic, but everyone is so understanding of what's going on that I have never seen anyone get upset. We are at the point now that they are trying to get the meals back, but they still need staff to staff the kitchen and the waiters and everything, but they're trying to get back to that. The food is very good quality. If I was a dessert person, I would be in heaven, so I have no problems with that. They have three buildings. There is one for independent living, and that's three stories. There is the assisted living, which is one story, and also memory, which is one story. Each of these has its staff, and its cooking and whatever. Everything is done differently. This is the layout of the place, but the grounds are very, very well. I haven't seen any mosquitos or problems like that outside. They have beautiful flowers. Just before the weather gets bad, they try to trim the trees so that nothing falls. They're extremely meticulous when it comes to that. They'll take you shopping if you need them, they have yoga classes, exercise classes, and equipment that you can use, and they try to have entertainment by the pool at least once a week.

Renaissance - North Tampa was very nice. That was our second choice, and Mom almost went there. The apartments were very nice and neatly set up. It's more like a close knit community, but my mom has lived on her own for so long, so the other facility we checked out fits her more. Stephanie toured us and she was very friendly. The tour was outstanding, because some of the residents came up and chatted with us about the best experiences they had. They just had about everything one can offer, like a great pool, a good workout area, activities room, a nice cafe, and a nice theater room, but they do not have a dog park.

I chose Renaissance North Tampa for my dad because it was very clean, it had everything I was looking for, and it's close to my house. The people are very nice, very informative and answered all my questions. It's tough right now because of the COVID, you can't really see everything that you want to see. A lot of their stuff is closed because of COVID and I can't really fault them for that. I didn't try the food, but I saw it and it looked very good. Everything's farm to table, it's all local, and nothing is frozen. I spoke to the chef and he said they'd do anything that's needed for my dad in terms of dietary restrictions, so I was impressed.

My husband and I are together at the Renaissance in Tampa. It is comfortable, very clean, quiet, the people are very nice, the help is very nice, the rooms are spacious, the ceilings are high, it's concrete, so it's super quiet. They offer everything we need. We're in the independent living. My husband is disabled, but I am fine, so with help I'm able to take care of him. The facilities are awesome, they're great. The facility is massive, it's wonderful. I haven't tried the activities. This is 13 acres, not what you would call an uptown. There's a lot of industrial things around it, but it's secluded, and you're not really bothered by it. If you were looking for an "elite address," this is not it. It's right by everything. It's very close to all kinds of facilities.

I enjoy spending time in my room as the kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom and living room are a perfect size for me. The maintenance staff responds directly though we must pay for items needed for the buildings benefit. I love our new activities director who offers activities for almost every bodies enjoyment but there are a few residents that are never happy. The staff is attentive, but as most places, a few are rude and abrupt when information is needed. The covid19 situation has changed our daily lives and we are fortunate to have management that keep us informed as to cleanliness and rules which have kept all of us safe and with negative test results. The dining room changes rules constantly and I was told that unless I eat there, I can’t come in only to socialize. This is the place that has the most complaints and, also, a few of the wait help decide to make their own rules daily and the chef has an attitude that most of us are always wrong. I had my own restaurant and had Food and Restaurant certification and I know what fine dining is and this isn’t what we expected. Perhaps our living conditions will improve when covid19 is in the past. Currently is not the time to move here.

My mother is on her way to Allegro. We chose it because of the friendliness and the openness of the staff as well as the residents that were there. They not only appeared happy, but they were very open and welcoming. The rooms were wonderful, had everything that you need, perfect size and very new. The dining area was wonderful. They had a resident counsel, so all of the activities are decided by the residents themselves, and they keep a very busy calendar. If those things are engaging to them, they continue to keep them there, and if they're not, they change them.

The Renaissance did not do or say what they said they would. The food is awful. The residents do not do anything to keep ingaged. There are no activities for residents. The owner Amber blows you off when you want to talk to her about changes. The Renaissance has a constant turn over of staff. The kitchen was dirty and gross. I got my mom out of there and she is much happier now. I would not recommend this assisted living place at all

Renaissance Senior Living was all redone and renovated recently. The apartments were adequate. They have adequate activities like games and trips, and they have a couple of game rooms. They have a library, a swimming pool and an exercise facility. The menu looked OK, and the dining room area was adequate, and attractive enough. The staff was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and pleasant. It looked like there was adequate parking.

The one that we really liked was the Renaissance. We considered putting my mother-in-law there, but we thought it would be better for her to be in a Jewish community. The room was significantly smaller than what she was able to get for the same money at the other community. We had a meal there, and the food was good. The staff member who accommodated me was fabulous. She was great. They were excellent with the clients who were there in the memory care unit. They interacted with them well and they had appropriate activities for them. I thought they did an excellent job.

The tour guide that took us through Renaissance Senior Living was very nice, helpful, and very informative. However, they hesitated in taking my husband because he has a PEG tube, which was a bit of a concern for me. They weren't really equipped for someone in that position. The grounds were nice, but it was very sunny. There weren't any trees or shaded areas, and I need to be in that kind of environment because I burn really easy. The pricing was really good. It was one of the ones we were seriously considering, but the one thing that kept us away was a lot of sun. The lady was very knowledgeable and tried to help answer our questions involving moving from assisted living to full nursing. She was very accommodating with our insurance, and they were extremely friendly. The residents were having a meal and it looked very good and well-prepared. It was very neat.

My mother moved in this month and I must say the experience has been very positive so far. The decision to move her was heartbreaking, but it has really been an easy transition. The studio is much larger than other places I visited and turned out to be very cozy once her furniture was moved in. She even had room for a chair and sofa! She comments how the staff are always so friendly and helpful, and how delicious the meals are. I have eaten with her several times and I agree on the food. The choices are plentiful and taste is great. I was sad to hear the lodge/nursing home will be closing and am hopeful if the time comes when she needs more assistance, something will be available then. I love that fact that she can get her hair done there, as well as have the medications managed and given to her. All in all, I'm extremely happy so far!

The Lakeshore Villas is convenient for me to get to, even from work. It's a wonderful place. My mom's apartment is beautiful. It's actually perfect for her because she can easily get around in it. She was able to take all of her furniture into a nice living room. Her bedroom is nice and large. The apartment also has a full-sized bathroom and kitchen. Everything is right there. The administration is very nice. The members of the staff are very, very caring people. The food is delicious. The dining room is very open, clean and welcoming. It feels like a regular dining room. Lakeshore is an older facility so they can probably improve on updating some of their decorations.

My mom's got dementia and is in long term care at Lakeshore Villa right now. I'm not that impressed with the place. I'd really like to get her out of there and move her somewhere else. I think she likes the food because she eats pretty well, but she wants to get out.

Apartment style living that has a hint of assistance. If you are insistent in maintaining your independence and in addition you are aware of the fact that you might need help at certain times, well this might be the place for you. A beautiful building that is very well maintained this is home to a large scale of seniors. There is constant activities being offered throughout the day and even ice cream socials. The out door commons area is beautiful. Everywhere I turned there was a staff member. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about their residents. That is sometimes hard to find in large scale communities, as everyone seems to blend into each other. There is a ton of parking available and the building is easy to access.

My father is staying at The Inn and has been there since May of 2011. I'm very pleased with the staff and the living conditions. The managers are doing an awesome job. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is always something to do lots of activitys. They have trips to the stores and out to lunch throughout the month. The faculity is very clean and the food was great I had lunch and dinner a few times with my dad when I visited him. I just can not say enough how pleased I am with The Inn where my dad lives. They lookout for your family members who live there as though they were there own family.

My grandmother lived at this facility for a few years. The staff was also so pleasant and helpful and had many activities to keep the residents busy. They had an indoor pool, pool table, a lake with a gazebo that residents could sit by, many activities that the residents could partake in such as: Bingo, crafts, puzzles, bus trips to restaurants, grocery store, fair, etc. They have options where a resident can live alone or with roommate and have kitchens in some units. They have a nursing staff on the assisted living floor that will come bring medications. They have a mailroom for residents as well. The staff was always very catering and the dinning room was always nice (reminded me of a cruise ship dinning room). Grounds were always clean and they also have different holiday events where local organizations such as cub-scouts, etc come in to do caroling for the residents. Next door to the assisted living facility is the nursing home.
